The Library is Open - 10/18

Methos is buried somewhere in the stacks. A sign on the collections desk reads, "Students are reminded that they will be fed to Locker 327 if they bring food into the library. Yes, the librarian is exempt from that. No, it's not fair. Get over it."

If you need to check out a book, hope that one of the assistants is around -- or risk your life by yelling for the librarian in the library.

I just wanted to thank you for helping me yesterday...and for the pizza...and the movie. I just...[she looks a bit uncomfortable and unsure of what to say]...yeah. Thanks.

((ooc:drop me an email for plotting...Adam will be involved unless you say no))

You do? I...[her mouth openes then closes]...You have some dirt...[She reaches out and brushes the dust from his face].

I enjoy your company too, Adam. [Looks at him like she wants to say something else, and finally,] What books?

Quite the selection we have here?

[Smiles] Collects then. We used to have them in Ohio. They liked to take my barrettes if I left them outside.

True, if you know how to ask nicely, most people will give you anything you want.

I've been teaching my class that's where you cross the line from influence to manipulation.

Yes. That and the ethics of the taking away someone's personal power without their knowledge or consent. It's not...nice.

I'm pretty sharp, Adam. But I'm also open. You don't need to be sneaky. Just ask...if it's not mine to tell, I won't. I know a lot of things I never talk about. I keep secrets well.

[Smiles] Thank you, Adam. That's quite the compliment where I grew up. I haven't heard anyone say it in years.

There isn't anything wrong with being old fashioned. I think it's charming.
