Ghanima had had a sense of tingling unease all weekend, like something was scratching behind her eyes, wanting to be seen. A tingling she had pointedly ignored, which had only served to make it so bad, she had taken to bed and not gotten any of the prep for today's class finished.

She wanted no part of the prescience of her brother or father, thank you.

"We're watching a movie today," she said as everyone came in. "There's a handout right over there, and we'll actually discuss Hinduism as a religion next week."

The Danger Shop has been set up with big fluffy pillows, piles of blankets, moddable snacks on a table by the wall, and a big screen at front with the movie. Settle in, get comfy, and feel free to chat with a friend while you watch the movie.

Raven settled in to watch the movie with a cup of tea and a plate of cheese and crackers and grapes. Vegetables still made her a teeny bit nervous.

Tahiri helped herself to some crackers and an apple, then found a spot off to the side, snagged a couple of pillows, and curled up under a blanket. She wasn't going to object to a movie day at all.

Raven glanced over at Fandom's reigning Ms. Multiple Personality. "Hello, Tahiri," she said. "How have you been?"

Tahiri gave her a crooked little smile. "I'm all right," she said noncommittally. "Just busy."

Raven nodded. "As have I," she said. Busy was a good code word, yes.

It was a useful code word, that in this case happened to mean as much AFK a whole lot 'hiding' as much as anything else. Tahiri shrugged one shoulder, rearranged her pillows a little, and asked, "Quiet weekend?"

"Thankfully, yes," Raven said. She held up a grape pointedly before popping it in her mouth. "No produce attacks."

Tahiri chuckled briefly. "That was a messy one, wasn't it? I still don't think I can look at a salad normally."

When can you ever look at anything normally, Tahiri?

"I was attacked at Lady Aphrodite's shop," Raven said. "A cucumber took a bite out of my arm, but fortunately Lady Aphrodite arrived to aid me before they could do more damage."

"That's right. You don't fight, do you?" Tahiri remembered. "This hasn't changed your mind, has it?"

"After what happened to me at Parent's Weekend, I have decided I must learn to at least defend myself," Raven said. She still wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea, but she knew it was necessary. "I cannot take a life, I know that, but I cannot be helpless either."

Ben gave her a quick look, then floated a cookie (Ben's solution to all things that couldn't be fixed with ice cream) toward her.

The floating cookie got a smile, a real one, out of her, and she added her own little touch with the Force to make it loop a couple of times in the air before she reached out and took it.

Thanks, she sent; telepathic communication was useful when you had a cookie to nibble on.

Tahiri slowly nibbled her way halfway through the cookie before replying, but her mental voice sounded fairly certain.

Six and a half? I'm tired. But a little less stressed.

Which didn't mean it looked easy. Just less monumental.

Tahiri snagged the cookie with the Force this time and just took a bite out of it while it hung in midair, instead. Sorry for the stress over this, she told him apologetically.

Jonas was almost grateful that his brain got a small break during this class. It wasn't that he didn't like learning but he'd learned so much that having a small rest would do him good.

He settled on a pillow to watch the movie, prepared to not understand a thing.

Jack curled into a pile of pillows and prepared to enjoy the movie. It wasn't bad -- though some part of him was annoyed he'd taken the early train back from Baltimore just for a movie day.

Ben had a pile of snacks on a plate in front of him and he flopped onto a pillow not to far from where Tahiri was.

Not that he was overly worried about her. Really.

Ender sat on one of the pillows, looking engrossed in the movie, but being anything but. After fifteen minutes or so the format had become clear. He picked it up easily as it went along, but his attention was quickly drifting away to themes and bigger things.
