Sex Ed [Monday, Period Five]

Today the lights in the classroom were dimmed and a television was set up at the front of class.

"Good afternoon, class," Bond began as the class finished entering. "Now, this afternoon we'll be watching a film about how being anything other than completely and utterly heterosexual can have a negative effect on a person in the everyday workplace, and while I doubt that any of you would engage in discriminatory behaviour, I hope you will all take something from it."

Bond nodded. "I have several Mr Reese," he said. "What seems ot be the problem."

"Bobby's not here. I don't know if he left you a message. He left me one and it sounded pretty urgent, like he had to leave really fast. He wouldn't miss class if it wasn't important." Point was, he didn't want his friend getting into trouble, and if he sounded a little worried, it was because he was.

Kyle nodded back in thanks. "I'm sure he'll come see you if he comes back." Yeah, that was an if. Concerning. "This doesn't have anything to do with Bobby, but is it still okay if I ask you questions about what the class doesn't cover?"

"Professor," Azula addressed with a curt nod. She didn't miss this class at all but duty obliged her to report to Bond.

"I apologize for my absences," she said, not at all sorry for being absent in this class. "I was called back home."

"I understand, some absences are unavoidable," Bond said. "I'm sure you'll be able to get caught up on the classes you've missed from your classmates."

He wasn't giving her a small rainforest's worth of missed handouts, didn't she feel lucky?

Oh, she did. As long as there's no handouts on this subjects Azula was prepared to pay homage to the spirits.
