Library - Saturday [9/26]

George wasn't near an expert on libraries, but over the last few weeks, he'd learned a few things about them.  One was that books went on shelves.

Which was the reason he was completely puzzled that when he started to put books away and do the other library aide tasks, he was finding fruit on the shelves.  Books too, yes, but all around the books - laid on top, set on the ends of the row, even in a few awfully messy but quickly cleaned up cases, under the books - there was a veritable fruit salad.

He filled the cart with fruit and took it back to dump on the front desk - the cherries were set to the side because they were George's absolute favourite - then went back for more.

Anyone coming into the library would probably find themselves the winner of a giant fruit basket.

"Yeah," Bobby nodded. "Its like, um, gestures and stuff instead of words?" which wasn't entirely accurate because unlike the player, he was not a cunning linguist but was sort of close. Close enough.

"Kind of?" Bobby said with a shrug. "I think its more than *just* signals, though."

"The cant?" Bobby repeated curiously.

"So, like a code?" Bobby wondered.

His curiosity was piqued (not that the word piqued was really in his vocabulary) but he wasn't sure if he should ask more about it, not being a member of the Court of the Rogue and all. "Thanks, dude," he grinned, selecting a book of basic ASL vocabulary. "...Why is there an apple?"

"That would be cool!" Bobby enthused. "I wasn't sure if I should ask, since I'm not from your world and all. But if you're willing it'd be cool. And that fruit thing is... really weird," he eyed the fruit suspiciously. "Have you tried any of it?" If someone put food in front of him he'd try it, after all.
