Physical Films | Period 3 | Class 3

Over the weekend, Ronon had caught a viewing of Dirty Dancing and decided that his students would enjoy a chance to show off their skills or their lack of skills. This led to the Danger Shop taking on the form of a terribly dusky room with a large screen blaring scenes from the movie.

When they'd assembled, Ronon paused the scene. "Today your movie clips are the dance scenes from some movie that declares no one can put Baby in the corner. After you get your uniforms on, I'll assign you to a partner, with one of you dancing as Baby and the other as Johnny. We've got an even number, so no one's lucky enough to be carrying the watermelon." Ronon smiled widely at that image even if it wasn't to be.

"But first, you've gotta learn how to dance. Luckily this movie's a how-to. Pick a scene and recreate it. Enjoy."

When students returned from the dressing rooms, they would be assigned to these partnerships. Baby is in red; Johnny in blue.

She looked thoughtful, unconsciously brushing down a crease in his shirt. "Where from in the Lower City are you?"

"Me mam lives on Spindle Lane," he said, unsure if the street or neighborhood names had changed since she was there. "Tisn't too far from th' Jane Street Kennel - not tha' I'd be knowin' th' Kennels too well."

Oh, yes, there was a smirk there.

"Course you don't," she said in a tone that implied she wasn't buying it. "I know where Spindle Lane is. I grew up in Mutt Piddle Lane." She knew the entire Lower City from her mind.

George's smirk grew. "Believe what ye like." He nodded, familiar with his city too. "Grew up there? What about now?"

"I'm out of the Cesspool. Moved to Nipcopper Close." Right across the Dancing Dove, but to her the inn wasn't yet the place he'd know it as. It would be, though.

She wasn't really surprised that he knew the name already, Rosto was the Rogue so it would travel fast. "Tell Rosto that, the Dog was there before he bought the houses."

Oh, aye so it was one of them time things.

"Tisn't goin' t'be my doin' tellin' 'im anythin'," George said, hoping he'd get out of it that way.
