The Cafeteria, lunch

Dinah had done another look around the theater before she left last night, then checked every place she could think where Edward might be in the dorms (he wasn't hiding behind the washers).

Now she was investigating the food in the cafeteria, waiting on Priestly and Adora, and deciding that Luke's was definitely better.

"High-five!" Dinah held up her hand, grinning. "I don't think I ever slept in class. So we're good bad kids. Go us!"

Bobby grinned and returned the high five. "We should start a club! Or something."

"We could get leather jackets and try to intimidate people." Dinah paused, then grinned at Bobby. "Okay, yeah, no."

"...I don't know, I think I'd look good in leather," he mused. "You too."

Dinah had to giggle at that. And tease him juuust a little bit. "We could get leather motorcycle pants too. I could get us a bike."

"You don't think they'd make my butt look big?" he said, twisting around in his seat as if he meant to look.

"I don't know," Dinah said, her voice very serious. "Long legs wear them better. Stand up and twirl around."

Bobby was, all things considered, rather short for a guy. But he stood up and twirled as ordered. "Well?"

Dinah giggled, but managed to get out, "Totally you! We should get you some black ones. Or maybe some lace-up ones, so you can wear combat boots too?"

Actually, she thought he'd look adorable in that kind of thing. Maybe not intimidating, but still cute.

Bobby struck a pose. "Steel-toed?" Oh yes, he was totally formidable.

"Duh! That way we can sew our toes back on if something hits them." What? It was true! "Also, we need the right shades for this. I only have cute ones. We need scary ones."

"I have a pair of blue ones," Bobby considered. "I'm not sure where they fall on the cute-to-scary scale."

"Ice blue, navy blue, or baby blue?" Dinah checked seriously. "Mirror-shades, or real dark?" These things needed consideration!

"Ice blue," Bobby said quickly, because what other color would they be. "And neither? They're just sorta transparent...ish." Because that was a word.

"Ice is cool," Dinah decided. "And for that, real dark would look wrong. And the risk with mirrors is of looking too 80's or too cheesy." She smirked. "So where is our gang hanging out? The smokers have already claimed their territory. And we could throw them off the roof, but this school would probably just make us clean up the mess."

"Hmm," Bobby mused. "The deck, maybe? We could lean up against the side of the building with our hands in our pockets and look all intimidating."

Chortling, Dinah said, "Right! And ask people, 'were you going to come out here?' all menacing to people who wanted to be on the deck, and then mess with their heads by telling them we liked them, they could stay."

"But only so long as they promised not to spread around the fact that we were going soft on people," Bobby nodded. "Gotta keep up our reps, you know."

"Exactly," Dinah beamed at him. "Our facade of totally overwhelming malice must be maintained!"

"Does our gang-club have a name?" Bobby mused. "Or are we too cool for that?"

"Well, we can't just call it 'People Who Want to Wear Leather and Look Cool.' It's too long," Dinah said, grinning as she slurped her drink. "Hmm. The Nonchalants? Fake Bad Instigators? FBI?"

"Ooh, FBI. I like that one," Bobby nodded. "So we can talk about it and people would have no idea what we really mean. And, hmm, who else should we invite? Tony maybe?" Look at him go with the cleverly working him into conversation, there.

"Of course! Tony is totally badass! You've met him, hunh?" Dinah snickered, and leaned forward on her elbows. "Plus being one of my best friends here. He'll look great in leather. And he already has the eyebrow ring. And probably the boots."

Bobby nodded. "I met him at the picnic! He's totally badass. And he told me I should talk to you. Uh- not about making a club." He felt that needed to be clarified.

"Ummm okay?" Dinah gave him a clueless look. "About what? Jumping off the roof, maybe?"
