"Good afternoon class," Bond began after the last student had arrived. "This is Sex Education, so if you're in the wrong class, now is the time to leave."

"I'm Professor Bond, you may call me most variations on that," he said. "Mr Reese and Miss Hathaway over here are my TAs and I expect you to treat them with the same respect you would give me."

"In addition to the basics of the act, we'll be covering a wide range of subjects, including various forms of protection and their effectiveness, or lack thereof. Given the nature of our subject matter, I ask that you attempt to act in a thoughtful and mature manner."

"Today we'll be sticking to introductions," Bond said. "So I'd like each of you to tell me your name, your class, and I'd ask what experience you have with the subject, but given I'm a big believer in the value of discretion in this arena, instead I'd like you to tell me something that you would like to learn more about in this class. I can't make any promises, but I'll do my best."

He pointed at a random student. "How about you start us off?"

"Princess Azula," she said, standing up and crossing her arms. "I'm in the third year. I believe I don't need to learn anything from this class."

Yes, that will work.

Oh, totally.

"In my experience, Miss Azula," Bond said. "The people who say that tend to be in most need of classes such as this."

They were going to get along famously.

"Then your experience is wrong," Azula retorted. Politely. "And it's Princess."

"Noble titles are not acknowledged in my classroom, so unless Princess is your given name, it's not," Bond replied smoothly. "And given the depth and breadth of said experience, I sincerely doubt it is."

"I've led armies, Mr. Bond," she said sweetly and still ever more so politely. "I assure you I have all the experience and knowledge I need. I don't need this class. Warfare and strategies those are the instruction I deem necessary to learn."

Bond's expression could only be described as 'join the club'. "I spent over ten years in Her Majesty's Navy," he informed her blandly. "And believe me, if you conduct your love life like a military exercise, you'll find it most unfulfilling."

"Oh, only your navy?" Her tone of voice was commiserating while somehow implying how lacking that was.

"Why should I worry about my love life? Love is a distraction. If I need to marry I'm sure an arrangement can be made and then I can have it be done and over with."

Azula was the very soul of romance.

"In the same way that the First World War was a family spat that got out of hand," Bond replied in that same bland tone, he might have had buttons, but that wasn't one of them.

"In which case I feel terribly sorry for both you and the future Mr Azula."

"I don't know anything about your world wars but I'll take your word for it, Mr. Bond." Azula said, as if dismissing the matter as something inconsequential.

"No need for that," she smiled, "I'm certain he, whoever he is, will feel honored just by being in my presence."

Bond didn't start laughing. Mostly because he was an excellent poker player.

"I'm sure he will."

Azula retained her pleasant smile, "Of course."
