Drusilla waits in the room for this week's students with detention. Eyeless porcelain dolls in various states of disrepair are scattered throughout the room. On the cracked blackboard is written the names of the students with detention this weekend. A slide projector sits in the room and off to the side a screen has been set up.

Drusilla paces at the front of the classroom, waiting for everyone to arrive.

ETA: OOC: Dru isn't letting anyone out until everyone who isn't skipping out on detention says what they've done wrong. This means, Jayne and Buffy, that you guys should at least reply once. Come on, everyone else is playing along. Your characters are stuck here; let's try and make it fun for the players, at least.

Also ETA: OOC: If Buffy hasn't responded by midnight, Dru lets everyone go. Presume your entire Saturday is completely shot.

OOC: I'm willing to roleplay my way through detention if you are... However, it has to be slowly, as RL leaves me with an infant to deal with all day.

"Unjustly?" asked Drusilla, an edge to her voice. "Tell us who and why now."

::looks slightly panicked when she realizes she's going to have to single her friends out::

Ummm, well... All Anders did was miss a class, which shouldn't really be all that big of a deal, right?

And Beka didn't even really do anything. It was just a prank that went wrong that she barely had any part of.

::bites down on her lower lip again::

Drusilla stares at Cally. "Do you think it's all right to have unexcused classroom absences, then? To skip class and do something else?"

She glances at Beka, then back at Cally. "Didn't she? Miss Valentine admitted to helping plan it, then she said it would be all right to hurt someone if they'd been at a party. Does that sound all right to you?"

::swallows hard. This was not what she had been expecting::

Well, no, it's not, I mean... detention's just kinda harsh, isn't it? I mean, the punishment should fit the crime, right? Some people are probably here for much worse things than missing class, right?

::begins fidgeting, nervously::

As for Beka, well... I know she wouldn't do anything to hurt anybody, really. She's too nice for that. She might say it'd be okay, but she can't really mean it, right?

Drusilla taps her index finger against her lips as Cally speaks. "Everybody here's been naughty," she said. "Except you. You've been a good little girl." Drusilla laughs. "Tell me, did you really think I'd kill any of them?"

She watches Cally fidget. "Maybe she meant to hurt them, maybe she didn't. But she hurt them and she had fun doing it." Drusilla picked Miss Edith up off the floor and hugged her close. "If you don't mean to hurt someone, but you do it anyway, is it all still apples and oranges?"

::swallows again::

I didn't, no... I didn't even know what detention was going to be like, and, well... Anders really seemed to be dreading it, so I didn't want him to feel alone or anything. ::smiles nervously at Anders::

And, well It's a lot easier to forgive, if it's an accidental hurting. It's not really okay to hurt anybody, but, like... if say, you kick someone in the face, cause you were possessed by an alien, that's totally not that person's fault. It was an accident. ::shrugs, trying to hide her nervousness with a smile:: So, it can be apples and oranges, I guess.

::her stomach grumble::

Okay, can we not mention food? I forgot to grab breakfast. ::bites her lip::

"And now you're in detention with him." Drusilla's voice was full of satisfaction. "You must like him very much."

"So it's all right to plan revenge if you don't mean to hurt somebody with your revenge?" asked Drusilla. "How lovely. I'll have to remember that the next time someone hurts me. It's okay to hurt them back if I tell everyone that I don't mean to."

Wait, that's not what I said at all... I mean, if you're actually out to hurt them, then it's not an accident if they do, right?

So, it's okay to tease, and stuff, but if you're being malicious about it, that's totally not okay.

Drusilla pulls a cookie out of a drawer and eats it in front of Cally.

[OOC: OMG. Mean. And brilliant. *dies laughing*]

Beka hears Cally, and her heart almost breaks with love. Please don't get hurt. I'd never forgive myself.

Drusilla laughs, long and low, and just smiles at Beka and Cally.

::looks a little uneasy::

Ummm, does this mean I can sit down now?

Drusilla nods as she finishes her cookie.

::stomach grumbles again, and Cally sits down, pouting slightly::

Beka smiled at Cally, grateful for her support, even if she'd come for Anders. It helped, having her here.

::when Cally sits down, she looks torn for a second as to who she should sit by... after pausing, she holds up a finger and mouths "Just a minute" to Anders, and sits next to Beka::

Hey. ::smiles::

"Hey, you." Beka smiled at Cally, warmth and genuine affection apparent in her entire manner. "Brave of you. Thanks."

::smiles::

Not that brave, really. I mean, she's just a teacher, and this is just detention. It's not like she was actually gonna kill anybody.

...the dolls kinda creep me out, though.

"There are worse things than dying. So, thanks. I know you didn't come for me, but I'm still glad you're here."

Beka grinned then and tilted her head toward Anders. "Go see the boy. He's so desolate without you he's playing with dolls."

"For shame," said Drusilla, interposing herself between the two women. "You." She pointed at Beka, then over to the corner of the room. "In the corner. No pretty playthings for you when you're being punished."

Beka stood. "Guess that means I can't talk to you, either?"

Beka nods. "Didn't know it wasn't permitted. I'll stop."

"Did you think detention was for enjoyment, then?" asked Drusilla. "You needn't answer."
