Sam had nearly woken up late, Scout had been in some kind of terrible dog mood on their morning walk, the radio had done nothing to curb his concern that Chuck had caused serious emotional damage to Rachel, and everything seemed determined to remind him that there were only two weeks of summer left.

Oh, and he still had pink and gold glitter in his hair. This was not the start to a good day.

That had a way of getting rid of Sam's smirk, and he just nodded as he passed the pie over. "Do you need any help with that?"

"Don't know yet. Maybe. I mean it's been 3 years; stuff accumalates."

"Yeah, I can't imagine how much I'll have to pack next year," Sam said. "I'll help however you need though. Are you still planning on taking Alec and hitting the road?"

"Yeah," Dean said. "What, you think I'm going to suddenly change my mind and try to enroll in college or something?"

"No, I just wanted to make sure I still know what's going on with you," Sam said. "I don't expect you to do anything normal."

Dean shrugged. "For me, hunting is normal."

"I know. I've come to terms with that, I think," Sam said. "I just want you to be okay, that's all."

"To steal one of Alec's lines, I'm always okay," Dean said. "It's you I'm worried about. I mean what kind of trouble are you going to get into when I'm not here to haul your ass out of the fire?"

"I won't get into trouble," Sam said. "I mean, no more than Fandom throws at me, but there's nothing you can do about that even if you're here."

Dean snorted. "I'm going to be travelling with Alec. Pretty sure getting into trouble's a foregone conclusion."
