Healthy Diet and Living; Monday, Period Five [ 10/08 ].

Hopefully, all the students had gotten the handwavey message from Daisy requesting that the class meet in the gym this morning, in exercise clothes, and that they show up awake and breakfasted and ready for a day they could probably guess was coming based on that information, and that she was sure they were all looking forward to.

"Afternoon!" she greeted them. "Today we're covering just a little bit of that 'living' part in the class's title, because you can eat as healthy as you want, but if you really want it to be effective, you have to pair it up with exercise." She started to send around some handouts. "Now, every body is different so not everyone's going to have the same effective workout as every one else, but today we'll just touch on some basic ones and then you can try to figure out one fit for you for next week!"

"Alright, then, get some water, you'll want to keep those electrolytes replenished, and let's start with some stretches. You can tell me about how your dinners went while we do that, if you got to 'em. If not, oh well. No big deal. Your loss in the long run."

"Oh, and next week is our last class. I'd like for you all to look into bringing in your own healthy recipe to share with everyone as a final assignment."

Claire didn't mind this class at all.

Momoko had expected something like this when she'd gotten the notice about the gym, and she wasn't upset: exercise was good for you (in moderation) and she wasn't in those totally un-cute gym clothes!

Stretching was important, Claire knew from her time as a cheerleader.

Stretching wasn't such a terrible ordeal. It helped that Morgana was bendy limber.

Momoko stretched and listened. She could multi-task!

Running laps was kinda boring, but running in general was good.

This felt a lot like a training exercise, which made her think of Arthur, which made him think of how he was still gone, and somehow, her annoyance made her run faster.

Momoko was not really a fan of running; she much preferred flying! But she was willing to show that just because she enjoyed octopus-shaped hotdogs and cake didn't mean she couldn't keep fit or keep up!

Morgana started with the smaller weights, but she figured it was better than not working with them at all.

Momoko made a face. Weights? She didn't want to get all muscle-y! What cute boy would like her if she looked like that?

She poked at a set, hoping no one noticed she wasn't participating.

Oooh, kickboxing moves might be good for Fight Club. Claire paid extra attention to that lesson.

Oh, like Morgana wasn't going to love the angry, violent activity.

"Whoah!"

Okay, she wasn't really interesting in actual fighting fighting as much as some *coff*BUTTERCUP*coff* on her team, but this kickboxing thing looked interesting.

Crunches were apparently a universal evil. But at least they weren't doing push-ups.

And yay! Cool down!

It was not right that Momoko really wanted fresh-baked cookies now, right?
