Spider is wearing a broad grin as his students file in this morning. The side wall of the classroom has been mocked up to look like a stage with two large doors, each bearing a number, and a curtain at the end. The cat is playing with something that is making helpless and panicked 'ribbit' noises beneath the edge of the curtain, and Spider himself is sitting atop his desk, legs crossed.

"Good morning, students!" He greets the class cheerfully. "As no one saw fit to come up with a project for Parent's Weekend as of yet, I thought that today would be Student Appreciation Day. One of the other faculty left the television on in the lounge the other day and I saw a show which I thought it might be fun to emulate."

Spider gestured toward the stage. "Every student gets to pick. You may choose Door Number One, Door Number Two or pick, instead, what's behind the curtain. Everyone gets a prize of some sort and a good time will be had by me all. Really."

Still grinning broadly, he lit up a cigarette and propped his chin in one hand. "Who'll be first, then?"

Regular Class Comments or Questions as to the Sanity of the Professor - Post Here

Chihaya bounded in to class and pulled up to a stop when he saw the set up. Casting Professor Jerusalem a wary look, he went to his seat and contemplated which one to choose. And if he wanted to choose at all.

Phoebe is sitting ON her desk, looking around. If she thinks her boss has lost his mind, her face doesn't show it. However, she does keep casting nervous looks over her shoulder and wonders if she should tell the Boss she has a stalker.

George notices Phoebe casting glances over her shoulder every few moments. She looks over her own should and turns back around with a furrowed brow? What the hell?

Phoebe catches George's look and mouths "stalker".

George raises her brows, surprised. Stalker, huh? she thinks. Thought that was what Jayne was for.

Phoebe looks around and hands George the note she had gotten earlier.

The card reads:

Phoebe, why are you being such a stubborn little witch? Does his safety mean nothing to you? What about your own?

A Friend

George held her breath for a moment after reading the card. She jotted down a quick message on her notebook and angled it so Phoebe could read.

This refers to Jayne?

After choosing her poison, Beka prowls the classroom as if searching for something she hopes she won't find. Apparently, she's pleased by the results, for she gives a small tight smile and a grim nod. She takes a seat that gives her a clear view of all entrances to the room, then opens her Flexis and starts to ~~pretends to~~ read.

Phoebe smiles faintly at Beka. "Can we talk later?"

Beka nods. "Damn right we can." There's no particular heat in her tone, but it's clear that she is not happy about something.

Phoebe nods and something like relief crosses her features.

Beka smiles - once, briefly, for Phoebe, then settles in to ~~stand guard~~ make notes in a notebook, having deliberately left her laptop in her room.

John's a little nervous about this. He never thought he'd be in a high school version of The Price is Right.

Chloe looked back and forth between the doors, the curtain, and Professor Jerusalem. She was certain he couldn't kill them, but there was probably a *lot* that he could get away with...and nothing that made him grin like that could be good.

John nods slowly. "Looks like we've chosen the same door. At least we'll go down together," he says with a nervous laugh.

Chloe smirks softly. "Well, you're bigger and stronger, so if you feel something behind you, it's me using you as a shield."

"You can hide behind me," John replies. "But if I start running, just hold on tight."

"Will do," Chloe replies, giving him a little salute.

Oh fantastic. The professor was practically chirpy, Jake noted gloomily. And if this didn't kill him, Logan probably did, judging from the fridge (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/173178.html).

Rory stops in briefly before heading home for the weekend (http://www.livejournal.com/users/rory__gilmore/16494.html), because the last thing she needs is to ditch Journalism and get in more trouble. She studiously avoids looking at Jake.

On one of her visual sweeps of the room, Beka's eyes light on Jake. She winces and mouths, "Sorry."

*tilts head, considering the choices*

D'anna slides into a seat. His cheery attitude and the noises coming from behind the curtain make her wonder just which side of crazy professor Jerusalem woke up on this morning. She wishes she'd skipped the soda and crunchy stuff and gone straight for the coffee and chocolate in Speech (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/221745.html).
