Journalism Class - Friday October 14

Spider is wearing a broad grin as his students file in this morning. The side wall of the classroom has been mocked up to look like a stage with two large doors, each bearing a number, and a curtain at the end. The cat is playing with something that is making helpless and panicked 'ribbit' noises beneath the edge of the curtain, and Spider himself is sitting atop his desk, legs crossed.

"Good morning, students!" He greets the class cheerfully. "As no one saw fit to come up with a project for Parent's Weekend as of yet, I thought that today would be Student Appreciation Day. One of the other faculty left the television on in the lounge the other day and I saw a show which I thought it might be fun to emulate."

Spider gestured toward the stage. "Every student gets to pick. You may choose Door Number One, Door Number Two or pick, instead, what's behind the curtain. Everyone gets a prize of some sort and a good time will be had by me all. Really."

Still grinning broadly, he lit up a cigarette and propped his chin in one hand. "Who'll be first, then?"

Behind Door Number One
Behind Door Number Two
Behind The Curtain

NOTE: There was nothing said about not being able to trade your prize for a different one or sharing your prize with your classmates (save what's behind door number one, which can't be shared, really).

Please Post Reactions Here

OOC: There will be threads posted for each choice. Comment in the appropriate thread. At the end of the day, (so that people can't choose once the answers have been leaked) three links will appear here, each to a locked post in Spider's journal, the results filtered solely to the students who chose each option. Reactions, arguments, 'wtf-ing' and the rest will please take place here in this entry, not the filtered posts. Have fun guessing what Spider might consider a marvelous prize for his students.

George gives her a quick, relieved nod and smiles back.

I wanted to tell you first what was going on. She pointed to one of the flowers she received from George that was sticking out of her backpack. I'm trying to learn to be a better friend.

George can't help but feel guilty. "Yeah, me too." she murmurs.

Phoebe gives her a sharp look and then writes something down in her notebook with great determination.

No. Don't you dare feel guilty. I'm happy for both of you. Phoebe underlines that last sentence. I'm just thankful I didn't lose his friendship. She looks at George with a smile and then adds. Also glad I gained a new friend.

George is surprised, but pleased. Thanks, Phoebe. I'm glad, too.
