Deep Thoughts Club

Anakin sat in Professor Ted's classroom and waited to see who else might show up for the informational meeting of the Emo Brooders Deep Thoughts Club.

He snacked on one of the Twinkies left over from the day's music classes. A sugar high might not lead to deep thoughts, but it's hard to resist the siren call of yellow cake and cream.

Ted woke up from his nap under the keyboard. He blinked, rubbed his eyes and peered up at the board.

'Dude. Taken Beethoven home.

Bill S. Preston, Esq.'

He looked over and saw the Skywalker dude sitting in the classroom. "Uh, hey Skywalker dude. Do I have another class today?"

Anakin looked up guiltily from the Twinkie he had been snacking on.

"Sorry, Professor. I didn't notice you there. Tonight's the first meeting of Deep Thoughts, and the dorms were being insanely loud. Do you mind if we meet here?"

"Ohhhh, riiiight. I totally forgot about that, dude. You guys can meet here every week if you want. Uh, but not on hockey nights, Mondays I think, because I kinda promised some other dudes they could use the room. But tonight's good! If it's not Monday. It's not Monday already, is it?"

*Hamlet wanders in being all emo over his inability to actually get revenge on anyone on his list and what his uncle must be doing with his mother right now thinking deep thoughts. He nods to Anakin and the other man, although doesn't know who the teacher is.*

"No, sir, it's not Monday yet." Anakin refrained from asking what hockey was.

Anakin nodded back. He was certainly not wondering how to ask Padme out not thinking of other ways to impress Angelus definitely not missing Obi-Wan thinking his own deep thoughts.

"Excellent! I didn't sleep through the weekend!" Ted dropped down into a chair next to Anakin and propped his feet up on the table he and Bill stole borrowed from King Arthur some medieval English dude. "So, this club thing? If you want, I know this guy, So-Crates. He wears a dress, but he's totally deep. He could stop by one week if you want."

"So-Crates?" Anakin thought about it. The name didn't ring a bell but the professor seemed enthuastic. "Sounds good. Thank you, sir."

"Perpetual Wednesdays?" Anakin shuddered. "Sounds horrible."

So-Crates? ...you mean, Socrates, the ancient Greek philosopher who was accused of being a bad influence on the youth of his time? But he lived back during the days of antiquity. Surely he's been dead for millennia. Unless he's also one of those undead folk we've had popping up at this school.

He thought about smiling but decided that wouldn't be quite the right response at this club. "Totally. Easiest way to get credit ever. I think it's open to whatever we want to do with it. Like minded beings discussing life, the universe, and girls guys everything."

Anakin nodded at Professor Logan. "Our advisor, Professor Logan, has offered to bring in a guest speaker named So-Crates for us one week, too. Do you have any ideas? Because I'm cool with a place to be moody, really, but we should probably come up with some stuff to cover our asses."

It was. People agreed to help me find a way back to this universe, but would only schedule it in for Thursday.

Anakin nodded at his roommate in a totally broody pensive way, trying to come up with a deep thought of his own.

A guest speaker would be good. Perhaps we can also come up with ways to creatively express and focus our deep thoughts into more productive means that will let us pick up chicks and/or dudes by which society can benefit.

The rush of sugar and 100% artificial ingredients are quite beneficial to intellectual discussion.

Anakin smiled. "All right, Ted. Hamlet and I are trying to come with ways that we can using brooding to score dates make this club beneficial to the greater Fandom High population. Do you have any ideas?"
