Yes, there were even more tents on the other side of the lawn.

Yes, the tables and chairs that had been set up there were still close to the ice cream.

"I said the same thing about myself to Merlin a bit earlier," she confessed, happily taking the ice cream. Mmm. "He asked me to be the leader of Magic Reserves with him, since Tony's left for the summer," she blurted, happy that there was someone she could finally squee about it with.

"Too transcendent!" Leda squeed. "Do I need to call you Sir? Or, Ma'am? Or whatever?"

"Lady Karla would be most appropriate," Karla said arrogantly, tossing her hair over a shoulder, "but if you ever did, I'd be most put out."

Okay Leda would not say so out loud, but that had been just a little sexy. "Right. So I'll only call you that to tease you."

"Just...not during Reserves, okay?" Karla asked, sounding almost shy. "I don't want anyone thinking that I'd become like Arthur, or that the reserves were going to my head or anything."

"I promise." Leda assured her, reaching out to stroke Karla's hair. "I know that would bother me too."

"Thanks," she said, reaching out to stroke Leda's cheek. "I appreciate it."

Leda smiled at the touch, and hoping Karla wasn't embarrassed by PDA, leaned in to give her a kiss.

Clearly she wasn't, or at least not enough to not return the kiss. She did keep it brief though, catching Leda's bottom lip with her teeth as she pulled away.

Mmm, she liked that. She had to catch her breath a little. "So, uhm, congratulations."

"Thanks!" Karla said, grinning. She'd felt Leda's breathing hitch when she'd pulled away. It was nice having that affect on someone.

It was nice having someone who could have that affect on you too.

"Will you miss me while I'm gone?" Karla teased.

"Mmm, depends on how long you're gone." Leda teased back.
