Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

Yes, there were even more tents on the other side of the lawn.

Yes, the tables and chairs that had been set up there were still close to the ice cream.

Priorities are very important here at Fandom High.

"It depends on the situation, really," he said, already fearing his failure in this area and all she'd done was step closer.

"What's the big difference?" she asked, drawing out her teasing, just because she could. "The uniforms? Being indoors?"

"I think you had your eyes closed for most of it. Can't really be either of those."

"Right no, it can't," he said, nodding his agreement. "The situation just makes a different. It does."

How, he didn't know.

"Okay," she allowed. "Let's say it does." She didn't think it made it a lot different, but hey, maybe it made a little.

"I don't think it's going to change much."

That said, she finally stretched up to kiss him. She'd been close enough for a while. Now was the time to make the most of it. There was a way to do this, and this was stage one.

Also, it lowered the chance of him being able to shoot back a smartass comeback.

Since Hannibal wasn't privy to her plans, he just thought she was going to try and makeout with him and have that cause his failure. He was fairly certain he could withstand that.

Somewhat certain. Vaguely certain.

Whatever, he was just going to return that kiss and not focus on the odds or a strategy or anything like that. Nope, just gonna his girl while standing in his boxer shorts.

She was pretty certain, on the other hand, that she could make him lose without resorting to anything more than this. Variety to shake it up was so much more fun, though.

And as he would already know, she had very few qualms when it came to public displays of affection, and people all around would in no way stop her from pressing up a little closer.

Okay, now she was closer and all he was wearing was a very thin layer of cotton. He focused, focused, focused, and channeled all of his will power to various places that needed it even without breaking that kiss. Couldn't very well shy away because she'd win, then.

Win what, he didn't know. He didn't know when he'd made things a competition.

Making things into fun little challenges was something they really seemed to have a knack for.

Unfortunately, Hannibal seemed to go picking a lot the challenges that he usually lost. Oops?

All the focus in the world couldn't really distract him from the proximity and that little bit of friction, could it?

That just wasn't fair, wasn't fair at all. He twitched, squirmed and almost twisted away from her but managed to stay close. Just close with squirming.

Goddammit, why had he not put his clothes back on? This was just unfair.

He had known exactly what he was getting into here. Not unfair at all, in Angela's opinion!

And as if she wasn't going to grin against his lips at that sort of reaction.

"Feeling okay?" she muttered out, not even bothering to move away.

"F-fine," he said, cursing himself for that momentary shake of his voice. "You're keeping me warm and I appreciate that."

And he was just hanging on here by a thread. Stupid boxer shorts.

"And I am happy to help with that," she told him cheerfully. "Of course."

The way she was all plastered up against him, might've suggested that without her even needing to say it.

"Of course," he said, taking a few measured breaths to keep parts of himself under control while she was wrapped around him like a glove. Breathe breathe smile breathe. See, easy.

"So, if I suggested leaving right now, you'd still be able to resist, would you?"

Maybe he would at this point. She could do better, and he knew it.

"Depends on what we'd be leaving to do," he said, leaving all his options open there.

Angela grinned, and leaned in to move her lips next to his ear. Effect, you see.

From there, she could easily whisper suggestively in his ear, something that was undoubtedly not meant for a public ~~comm~~ place.

Well, he'd asked.

Oh god.

"Let's go," he said, reaching for her hand with one of his and making sure he had his clothes with the other before tugging her off in the direction of the dorms.

"You win, I lost, don't gloat."

"So, so easy," she said, laughing as she got towed along. "I think I should be allowed to gloat."

"Shut up," he said and shook his head. "None of that now. Shut up."

"Shutting up," Angela promised. That smugness was just radiating off her even so.

Internal gloating was allowed. A little bit of talking dirty and he was putty in her hands. He could probably do the same, but that wasn't the point today.

"You can gloat later," he decided and then he shut up too because talking slowed him down or something and the dorms were way too far away. Thank god they lived in the same room.
