After getting SHOT AT WHAT THE HELL in fashion class, Claudia was ready for a nice long nap in the library today.

Or at least a day staring aimlessly at the pretty people in OK magazine.

The library was open!

"So far, only the once," Claudia said, "but we haven't really even gotten into the hot part of the summer."

"When it will all be coupled by the many attractive gels hanging about in swimwear?" Gulp. Someone was going to need to invest in blinders should that happen.

"Awww, you call us gels! That's so cute!" Claudia squealed.

She was the third to remark on that in as many weeks. He wondered if he should work harder to stretch out his 'ir.' "Um, yeah, leftover of the accent. I can say it the other way though, since cute is very teddy bear-like."

And there went his ears, turning all red. "I don--" He felt the heat spreading. "And they are now, aren't they?"

"Yep," Claudia said happily. "It's great."

To calm his ears, Griff thought of Claudia's big red satellite dish of a hat. "Fantastic. Glad I can amuse you."

"Aww, you're not mad are you?" Claudia asked.

"Yes," he deadpanned. "I'm going to hold a grudge unless you let me check out books with no late fees ever."

"How about I bribe you with Ho-Hos instead?" Claudia bargained.

"I do like me some Ho-Hos," Griff said, pausing. "Something about the plastic chocolate icing."

"Mmmm, plastic," Claudia sighed. "I'm stuck in this horrifying health food class this session. It's soooo bad."

"Given the number of foods in that plastic group I've seen you consume, I'm not surprised. What all do they try to make you eat that's healthy?"

"Yogurt, and not the frozen kind covered in sprinkles," she said, shuddering.

"The kind with berries in the bottom's not too awful," Griff offered, trying to find a bright side. "At least they're not yogurt-covered crickets."
