After getting SHOT AT WHAT THE HELL in fashion class, Claudia was ready for a nice long nap in the library today.

Or at least a day staring aimlessly at the pretty people in OK magazine.

The library was open!

Rose was still dressed up from Etiquette when she decided to finally give in and do research.

But she really hadn't expected Claudia of all people to be working here. "Hey Claudia," she said, giving her a quick smile as she glanced around the library.

"Oh, Lord did you really break a cabin?" Claudia gasped.

Hellos were for other people.

And Rose blushed.

"That wasn't supposed to happen."

She was never going to hear the end of this.

"Oh, Lord, it was true?"

Library voice, Claud. LIBRARY VOICE.

"Probably, yeah," she admitted, still studying the floor pretty intently. "There was some getting carried away and stuff."

"I have never gotten that carried away," Claudia gaped. "So, he's, like, really good at it, then?"

Rose couldn't help grinning a little. "Yeah, he's good," she shrugged. "Probably helped that we're both stronger than usual. So - not a regular occurence. Thing."

"Wooooooow," Claudia said. "I'm soooo not telling Toby this. He'd, like, require me to hate you."

"See, that would totally suck," Rose said. "Then there'd be catfights and stuff, and we'd just end up with detention."

"I had detention a few weeks ago and it was completely heinous," Claudia whined. "I had to clean horse poo!"

"Oh God," Rose made a face. "Getting up early on a Saturday is bad enough. There better not be any poop involved."

"And I had to listen to this girl whine about she didn't deserve to be there at all and you know, whatever. There are more important things to complain about. Like the totally gross horse poo!"

Quite the outdoors-y girl, our Claud.

Rose snickered. "Ugh, seriously. Crap takes dibs. I'd probably have punched her."

"I would've, but rolling around in a barn is soooo trailer trashy," Claudia declared.

"What, you don't like the straw in your hair look?" Rose teased.

With Claudia's fashion sense, she might.

"Oh, the straw is fine, but even I can't get horse poo to look good," Claudia said.

Rose made a face. "God, I hope not."

"Because that'd just be scary," Claudia said, making a face too.

"Now I'm going to spend the next few days worrying about horse crap," Rose complained. "Like detention and stuff wasn't bad enough."

"You could ask others about their expertise," Claudia said meanly. "Like the girl who was in detention with me."

Rose snorted. "Who is that again?"

"Have you met a girl named Peyton?" Claudia asked.

"Nope. Is she the whiner?" Rose asked.

"Omigod, yes," Claudia replied.

Besides, Peyton had called her stupid. There was no reason to be nice about her.

"Huh," Rose grinned. "I'll have to keep my eye out."
