Basketball- 6th Period- Class #1

Lily greeted her class in the gym today, because as nice as it would be to be outdoors in the fresh air, she hadn't had time to make new basketball hoops and these were already made.

"Hi, everyone!" she said. "I recognize some familiar faces here and some... really really not familiar ones. I'm Ms. Aldrin, and I'll be your workshop leader for Basketball. We've got a small group, but that's good. Small groups encourage one-on-one learning and you'll probably find yourself getting better and building more esteem that way. So today I want you all to try to get the balls in the hoops! It's okay if you don't, just try your best and have fun! If you need me, I'll be right here."

And then she took a seat on the bleachers and picked up her guitar.

No, seriously.

Okay, so, this was the weirdest gym class he had ever had by far but he'd roll with it. He was in no way as good at basketball than he was football but he was able to make it into the hoop pretty regularly.

"Think she takes requests?" Hannibal asked because seriously. He dribbled his own ball in place. "I'd love to see her try some AC/DC."

Riggins let out a huff that might've been a small laugh or a noise of frustration that someone was talking to him.

"You could try," Riggins said. "Personally I don't much care what she plays as long as it keeps her from talkin' about building self esteem and stuff."

"That comes later during the sharing circle," Hannibal said. "During summer camp, every evening, everyone sits around the main campfire and shares something. And then there's singing."

"Hi," Riggins said, surprised she was managing to keep a hold of the ball not dirty. Why yes, he saw her attempt at dribbling earlier.

Hannibal grabbed a ball and made to do a few layups. If this is what the class was going to be, he was certain he'd chosen wisely.

Adora picked up a basketball and stared at it for a moment before attempting a two handed dribble and accidentally kicking the ball far, far away. "Oh dear."

"GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!" Yakko yelled as he sat behind an announce table, wearing a suit and broadcaster headphones. "GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAL!"

Adora was uncertain what the strange dog-boy was doing. Or shouting, for that matter, when she had so obviously not done well just then.

Yakko ran off for a moment, found a trampoline (Steven only knows where...), set it up at the free throw line, and changed into swim trunks.

"CANNONBALL!" he yelled, taking a running start and bouncing off the trampoline. He tucked himself into the classic cannonball position and went through the hoop. There was a small splash when he went through, which was odd, since the hoop wasn't filled with water or anything.

Really, it was just a funnier sight gag if there was a splash.
