Since the area with all the informational signs was bound to get a bit clogged up, even more tables and chairs had been set up on the lawn, in a slightly different spot.

He glanced up at it.

"It stands out."

"That was the goal, yeah."

A little self-consciously, Kenshin ran a hand through his fringe, and wondered why hair dye had never occurred to him - or any of his superiors; almost anything would stand out less than red.

"You've got some pretty sweet hair yourself," Priestly observed.

"It stands out," he replied, with a wry twist of a smile.

"And looks great."

He blinked.

"Ah, thanks. ...That's the first time anyone's said anything like that."

"Well, I bet it won't be the last."

"Well, I've already seen that I'm not the only one here with red hair," he replied.

"Not by a long shot."

"It's strange. I'm the only one, back home," he admitted.

"Yeah, you don't hear much about Japanese redheads."

"No, you don't."
