Since the area with all the informational signs was bound to get a bit clogged up, even more tables and chairs had been set up on the lawn, in a slightly different spot.

Priestly ducked his head a little to give her better reach. "No weirder than any gelled hair."

Well, gelled within an inch of its life hair, anyway.

"It's kind of crunchy," Parker observed.

Priestly winced just a little. "Thanks, I guess. It's the best one of what I had to choose from."

"What, did you get a list and have to pick off it? Is that why there's a girl named Turtle running around?"

"Yeah. Very short one. My mom gave it to me when I was born." Priestly rolled his eyes. "I have no idea where Turtle got her name."

"I really seriously doubt that." Priestly . . . had had issues with religion. Hell, that was part of why he was here.
