Since the area with all the informational signs was bound to get a bit clogged up, even more tables and chairs had been set up on the lawn, in a slightly different spot.

"I'm not mad." Mad would imply caring, and Blair didn't want Serena to know she still had that kind of effect on her. "I'm just wondering when you started adding mushrooms to your favorite chemical repetoire."

"I don't do drugs anymore, and you know that." Except that one incident with GHB and that had been because Georgina had spiked her drink. "C'mon, B, what's up?"

"What's up is that you vanish without so much as a word then expect you can come wandering back in as though nothing happened?" Blair asked. "Not just wander back, but show up at my school?"

"B, that was a year ago almost." Of course Serena thought she was talking about Constance. "We've been through all of this already. Why I left, why I came back."

"I think I'd remember if we had," Blair said. It would have involved a great deal of groveling on S's part.

"Blair, this isn't funny," there was a note of desperation in her voice now, almost panic.

"Please, B?" Serena grabbed her arm, "don't do this. Not now."

"You're touching me," Blair told her, as a warning that she needed to stop doing that.

"Of course I'm touching you," this was crazy. This was all way too crazy. "B, you're my best friend. Yes, I went away, and I know, I'm sorry. But we've been through that."

"No, we haven't," Blair said. She jerked her arm out of Serena's grasp. "I don't know what rehab you went off to but it clearly didn't take. Next time don't take recommendations from the Lohans."

With that Blair went to stalk away. This entire situation was completely unacceptable and she needed time to process it.

Much though she had enjoyed watching Serena confused and floundering. Shame she didn't have a camera with her to capture the occasion.

Serena knew better than to chase after Blair when she was in one of those moods. Whatever was going on here, with different timelines and people from her past, she didn't like. it.

She didn't like it at all.
