Library, Sunday

It was most likely Lee's last library shift. He could have spent it being sentimental and going up and down the aisles, touching books and shelves. But that was sentimental and he wasn't a girl. Instead, he spent it relaxing, feet kicked up at the desk and hands linked behind his head.

He'd never known before how much fun a library could be. He was going to miss it.

"We'll be okay," he said. He was certain of that. "Her version of Georgia is in the past and while I want to be with her, I had to do things for myself. Hopefully my dad gets that too."

"That'll convince him, I think, if you're not at the same college as her." Dinah gave him a wistful smile, and very very briefly considered telling him, I kinda had a crush on you, 'til you told me about your girlfriend, but... But. That would be so, so awkward. Maybe not cool with him, too. "Anyway. I hope I see you around a bit this week. And oh! Don't forget to come to the play."

"Oh, I plan on doing both," he promised. "Being around and coming to the play. Gotta make the last week count. And you'll see me at graduation even if you miss me. My dad and Adah will both be there."

Which guaranteed Dinah's seat in the stands even if she hadn't already been going to it to cheer on her roomie. "I will so, so be there. With a Go Gremlins pennant." She grinned. "See you later, Lee."
