It was most likely Lee's last library shift. He could have spent it being sentimental and going up and down the aisles, touching books and shelves. But that was sentimental and he wasn't a girl. Instead, he spent it relaxing, feet kicked up at the desk and hands linked behind his head.

He'd never known before how much fun a library could be. He was going to miss it.

He's just hanging out, enjoying the quiet.

"Hey, Lee," Dinah said, bringing back a stack of books, and setting them on the counter. "Last time, hunh?" Woe.

"Unless I somehow fail every class I took," he said, nodding. "This is it, yep."

"Somehow I doubt that happened," Dinah said wryly. "Any big plans for your last week? It is your last one, right? Or are you going with us to the cabins for a few weeks?"

Shirtless Lee would be yay!

"Next week is pretty much it," he confirmed. "Do the grad thing, say some goodbyes and then I'm heading north for college."

"Ooo, did you ever decide which one?" Dinah asked, interested. So okay, she probably wouldn't see him again, but she was still curious.

"U of Maine," he told her. "They accepted me, it's far enough away that I won't feel like I'm clinging and it's nice up there."

"Neat. Pretty far from Georgia, but there's airplanes and phones and all. And you guys got through this year okay, so...." Dinah smiled. "Congratulations. And, uh. Good luck on telling your dad, I'm thinking?"

"We'll be okay," he said. He was certain of that. "Her version of Georgia is in the past and while I want to be with her, I had to do things for myself. Hopefully my dad gets that too."

"That'll convince him, I think, if you're not at the same college as her." Dinah gave him a wistful smile, and very very briefly considered telling him, I kinda had a crush on you, 'til you told me about your girlfriend, but... But. That would be so, so awkward. Maybe not cool with him, too. "Anyway. I hope I see you around a bit this week. And oh! Don't forget to come to the play."

"Oh, I plan on doing both," he promised. "Being around and coming to the play. Gotta make the last week count. And you'll see me at graduation even if you miss me. My dad and Adah will both be there."

Which guaranteed Dinah's seat in the stands even if she hadn't already been going to it to cheer on her roomie. "I will so, so be there. With a Go Gremlins pennant." She grinned. "See you later, Lee."

"Have a good one, Dinah," Lee said and waved.

The library's closed save for other aides and the librarian.

He's taking one last walk through the library before closing it up.
