Movie Appreciation: Week 14, Period 3 (Fri. 4/17)

"So," Ronon started as soon as it was time - they had a movie to get through, after all. "Next week's your final exam. We've gone over a lot of movies this semester and this last one's the most important because it's gonna form the basis for your test." Yes, he said test.

"Today we're gonna look at an award winning movie, From Justin to Kelly. It covers a few different genres - it's a musical, comedy, drama, teen romance, whatever. You guys should identify with it or somethin'." How sad would that be?

"Your task today is to decide what genre you think the movie fits and prepare to take a written final on it next week." He paused, making sure they were still with him here. "Any questions?"

Peyton honestly couldn't care less about the movie. She had her own things to be thinking about and they didn't include movie genres.

Romeo thought Justin and Kelly both needed real problems and the music was horrific. All the girls in swimsuits helped redeem it just a little.

Brooke was nicely engrossed in the train wreck.

Even if she did put her head down at the tie skirt. She couldn't watch. She couldn't. There would be tears.

Peter wondered if 'trainwreck' counted as a genre.

A bowl was set down next to him. "Ammo?"

"Does it include sleeping pills?" Peter asked.

Dinah peered into it as if they might magically appear. You never knew!

"Sadly, no." She stared at the screen, and said, "It's colorful?" Which was all she had, really. "I can't believe this is really the Final he'll use."

"I absolutely believe he could be that sadistic," Peter said.

"Put like that..." Dinah made a face, and threw popcorn in the air, catching only one kernel in her mouth. "I was hoping for a volcano, though. Or at least a car chase."

"We could imagine one," Peter suggested. "Not that it's the same..."

Dean stared at the movie with a WTF expression. The only genre it belonged in was Crap. Otherwise known as 'use to torture people when you tie them to a chair'.

He bet a demon would voluntarily exorcise itself if it was that or watching this.

Peyton tossed a note over to him at some point during the movie.

Hey... Can we talk sometime?

Dean read the note, then wrote back.

Totally. Sorry about the other night and the art show thing -- didn't get the message until after it was over.

She nodded and slid another one over.

Not important. I wasn't great company anyway.

Dean read the note then glanced over at her, before writing back.

You okay?

Oh god, Emmett needed to get out of here. This was awful. He'd rather watch Titanic again. At least people died in that.

Adam didn't know how to react to the movie. He just continued watching, unable to look away.

Dinah was getting earwormed by songs she didn't like. This ... was not good.

More popcorn than usual might be flying at the screen today.

Sam totally thought you could use this movie to torture someone. He completely forgot about genres.

Rodney concluded that 'utter drivel' was the only possible category for this so-called 'movie.'

Sokka stared at the horror that was the Evil Movie From Hell.

...The songs were pretty good, though.
