Heroing [period 2, class 13]

Today, when the students entered the Danger Shop, they were met with a rather uninteresting-looking obstacle course.

Don't worry, guys. Hammer was prepared to make it weird.

"First of all, class!" Hammer boomed. "Anyone who mentions next week is getting detention. Secondly! It is vital that you are in excellent shape, so as to rescue everyone who may need rescuing! So today, to prepare for your final next week, we're going to run this obstacle course!"

He smiled, then produced a box, not opening it yet. "Everyone is expected to run the course, but it's not that easy. Sometimes you will have things, such as your costume, sidekicks, or those you are rescuing, holding you down. So everyone's gonna put on one of these babies."

He smiled at them as he doled out the blue non-blankets. "Don't worry about hurting yourselves! The simulation won't let you. I think."

[I swear next week I'll actually be around for class. Goddamn RL school.]

Tahiri kind of had a default "you have to be kidding me" expression that she wore for this class. Today, it had the added twist of "no, really, can this week get more insane?"

Ben sighed. Because the week couldn't get weirder. Really.

Jess definitely liked Captain Hammer better when he thought he was a little girl.

Momoko was having a sort of a crisis of faith in heroes and heroing in general. Listening to this lecture was not helping her get over it.

He's really not going to care if you kinda walk it, or do what I would -- just walk under all the bars like a lazy ass.

Just do it in your Snuggie. It's his revenge for last week.

Savannah tied her Snuggie up and started on the course.

Ben put on the Snuggie and stared at it. "I look like an idiot."

Romeo was so grateful he'd be out of town next week, but he gamely tried to run the obstacle course.

... in a Snuggie.

Lion-o dutifully put on the Snuggie, but it seemed awfully big for someone so small ~~in his current form, at least~~.

Tahiri put the Snuggie on and looked down at herself. "Yeah, no. I might as well just put on a face mask and goggles and go out into a . . . blue desert. No."

Ooh! A cape! Sort of. Robin had a bit of trouble at first figuring out how to put it on, but once he did, he didn't have too much trouble running the course. Till his snuggie got caught on a splinter of wood and jerked him to a stop.

Helen sighed and ran the course in a snuggie.

Jess walked through the course, not in any mood to hurt himself when he already looked like an idiot.

Viki was not entirely certain how this was supposed to be difficult, but she put her Snuggie on, and wandered through the course.

Okay, first, it was not heroic at all, second, it was not the best shade of blue. Third, it really really was not cute, and fourth...

"Oh, nevermind." She sighed and tried to figure out how to wear the thing they'd been assigned, then ran the course as best she could. She felt like she was wearing a fuzzy hospital gown.

Rodney decided that the best course of action, considering the whole Snuggie situation, was to walk carefully around or under the obstacles. He really didn't care if he had one of the slowest times in the class.

Oh, Adora. Will you ever stop being confused by this class?

(Answer: Probably not.)

It wasn't likely that this week and the odd blue blanket with arms would keep Adora from staring.

Admittedly, the fabric was soft and warm, but why? Why sleeves on a blanket?
