Management Theory [Tuesday, April 14]

Yzma, thank God, had not been visited by tiny children from alternate dimensions. That meant she'd spent all of her time working on her lesson plan.

Okay, not really.

"Hello!" she boomed at the class as they arrived in the traditional lab coats and awesome hats. "As managers, we are entitled to certain perks that mere minions are not! Such as office supplies!"

That's also called "petty theft," children. Details.

She clapped her hands and the room shifted. At one end there was now a closet with a door labeled "office supplies."

And everyone had a briefcase next to them.

"Your task today is to fit as many office supplies into your briefcase in five minutes as you can, then come out of the closet without attracting suspicion," she proclaimed as thunder clapped behind her. "Begin!"

Agnes managed to avoid having to battle any aquatic life today.

She was more disappointed by that than she ought to have been.

Romeo listened skeptically, not quite understanding why you wouldn't just buy office supplies.

Helen quietly slipped inside, leaving her briefcase by her seat, and used her transformable arm to hide large amounts of office supplies. Then she went outside - apparently empty handed - and waited till she was back in her seat to pack it all into the briefcase.

It was a silly assignment, but it was an assignment. Romeo crammed his briefcase with so many file folders, paper clips, and staplers that it was hard to lift.

Liir took the time to pack as many office supplies as possible in a veritable Tetris game within his suitcase before walking out as if this was entirely normal.

Jaina thought this was pretty easy. Good, she liked easy today. She went into the closet, filled the briefcase with as much as she possibly could- mostly smaller items that she could rearrange as needed- and walked out like nothing happened.

She wondered if she got to keep the supplies.

Turtle was excellent at being able to fit things a lot of things into a briefcase, so this whole thing was a snap, even if she didn't exactly, err...agree with the whole thing. She knew that if anyone tried that at her store....oh man. Oh. Man.

The assignment was to pack as many office supplies into the briefcase as possible. Therefore, Agnes packed as many office supplies into the briefcase as possible. Thousands upon THOUSANDS of them. Sure, every single one of them was a paper clip, but she was quite confident she'd packed the absolute maximum number of office supplies.

... Unfortunately, the briefcase was then pretty hard to lift. Oh, well.

Jamie cheated. He duplicated himself along with the briefcases. He then piled as much stuff as he could into all the briefcases.

He's a bit of a stinker.

Jenny went for things like paper clips and rubber bands for maximum numbers. Also, boxes of staples. And some Post-Its. You could never have enough Post-Its.

Toby was totally sniffling through class today. His son was the bestest ever.

Even if he was half bitchy alien.
