Library, Sunday

Lee didn't know if it was necessarily a good idea to bring two kids to the library. Well, really, he didn't know if it was a good idea to bring Zak to the library. He figured it'd be paradise for Anna. And, as predicted, as soon as they got into the library, Zak was off like a shot, running up and down the aisles and screaming like an insane person.

Anna, however, found a stack of books, picked one and took seat before she started to read. Why couldn't all his kids be quiet like that?

So, thinking Anna would be fine on her own, Lee proceeded to try chasing Zak up and down the aisles. Zak thought it was a game. Lee was just trying to catch him before he knocked shelves down and or hurt himself.

It was not going well.

"That's right because Daddy is starving," he said, making more growling noises and tickling Zak's stomach.

"Must you be so loud?" Anna asked, glancing at the two of them. "This is a library."

"Stop it, both of you," Lee warned. "We're sorry for being loud."

"Nuh uh!" Zak yelped.

"He's a pain," Anna said succinctly.

"That's really the best you have?" Lee asked, dumping Zak on top of the desk. "I thought Mom would have taught you more creative insults than that one."
