Phys Ed & Movie Appreciation: Week 13, Period 1 (Fri. 4/10)

It was Prom. Ronon had things to do, the students had outfits to put on, and gremlins were still biting like mad. Sorry, no Nick Lachey here today, just a cranky Satedan who would rather watch his students beat each other up than plan two classes. He'd sent out a handwavey email letting both of his classes know to be there on time.

The Danger Shop gymnasium was completely empty today, save a large red line taped down the middle of the floor with a large ball sitting at the center. Ronon walked over and picked up the ball to toss it around while he lectured.

"Dodgeball. For those who don't remember or who haven't seen the movie, this is the game where if you get hit with the ball, you're out. If you throw the ball at someone and they catch it, you're out. The goal is to not be out." And he really didn't think this should be that difficult for any of them, making for an entertaining match.

"So get a uniform, and join your team behind the line."

Romeo didn't even shudder too much when he put on the uniform. he was just happy it wasn't a spangled unitard.

Emmett didn't really mind the uniforms. You've been in high school for most of your life you tend to get used that sort of stuff.

Jo set upon the uniforms with almost unseemly haste.

The fact she was dressed in clothes that were the height of seventies fashion, that her hairstyle also hailed from that era, and the fact she kept one hand clamped over her chest at all times, where probably clues as to why.

If anyone got changed more quickly than Gwen, it was merely because Jo had a head-start.

Anyone asking about the similarity of her and Jo's hairstyles and clothing, would not get an answer.

Angela pulled a face at the uniform, but decided not to complain. Zombies really put bad fashion a bit into perspective.

She could live with being labelled as Fandom High property for an hour or two.

Molly was very meh about the whole uniform thing by now, although she couldn't help thinking a long-sleeved version would have been more protective of arms and legs.

Or maybe tactical armor would be more appropriate.

"Professor Dex?" John had never really addressed this teacher before. They'd more grunted and just gotten into it in previous cases, but today he wanted something only Dex could provide, so the polite was turned on high.
