Zero sits behind the collection's desk, back to the door, with her feet up on a table. She has headphones on, at a volume audible from outside the library, and is working on her laptop. Good luck getting her attention. Anyone entering the library would see that she is on CafePress.

On the table next to her is a large plate of chocolate chip cookies, with a sign: LIBRARY STAFF ONLY (and Hank).

Oh, sure. *hands him a form and a copy of the Library Rules and Regulations* Read those, then fill that out in blue or black ink. Janet's very strict on that. An' then we'll get your card to you in a coupla days.

Angelus quickly scanned the rules, his eyebrows quirking occasionally as one or two stood out to him. "Gotta meet this librarian sometime," he said. He began filling out a form. To Zero, he said, "I was thinking I could draw Rory a picture, at least. All of the cute, none of the shedding that lasts for all eternity."

That'd be nice. *scans form* Okay, everything looks in order, no references to bein' the Chosen One anywhere, that's good. I'll get right on this.

That definitely brought his eyebrows up. "Chosen ones can't use the library?"

No, they can, but Janet got sick of processing all of them, so you're not allowed to put it on your card any more.

"Ah, too bad," Angelus said. "Wouldn't trust them around the books myself. But I've had bad experiences."

With Chosen Ones? Why does that not surprise me?

"Because you're a smarty every day?" Angelus grinned, the statement clearly intended to be a compliment.

Parker walked by with another armload of magazines. She flashed her teeth at him, clearly not pleased to see him again. "Angelus. Gee. Back again so soon? Didn't find what you needed in the National Enquirer?"

*presses hand against forehead and prays for patience*

"Nice to see you again, Parker," Angelus gave her an up and down look then, with the tone of one who actually does appreciate Prada, said, "Love the outfit."

Parker smirks back. "Gosh, thanks. Hugo Boss is a good choice." She smacks the magazines down. "So. I figured out why you were so *chipper* yesterday. Keeping opposing forces occupies."

"My good mood can't be due to your pleasant company?" Angelus grinned.

"Only in Bizarro-world. Or wherever it is that you're from." Parker noticed he wasn't denying her allegation, and seethed.

"I honestly don't know if my dimension has a name," Angelus admitted. "By the by, you might want to try cutting up straws while you're quitting smoking. You can use them like cigs. Helps keep your hands busy."

"I'll cut..." Parker stops herself. "Thank you for your concern!" She trilled, then went blank-faced again.

"Zero, I'm going back in the stacks. Call me if you need help pushing anyone ~~into the sunlight~~ out of here."

And she stomped off, cursing under her breath.

"Bye-ee," Angelus gave her a friendly wave, then left the library. He politely refrained from whistling until he was outside of the library doors.

*grins back, taking it as one*

So, what's the deal with you an' Parker?

"No frikkin' clue," Angelus admitted. "Some days I just give up on understanding these things."

Just...can you do me a favor an' not encourage her? She just quit smokin' an' we need her as sane as we can get her. All the stress she's puttin' herself under's not good for her.

"Cigarettes are tough," Angelus said, sympathetically. "Has she tried the patch?"

Dunno. She was chewin' Nicorette yesterday. An' I bought her a stock of lollies.

"She should find something to keep her hands busy," Angelus suggested. He mimed the process of holding a cigarette. "Not everybody realizes half the habit is having something to do with your hands."

*cue sarcasm* Yeah, sure, I'll suggest she take up knitting.
