When the Ethics students arrived, they'd notice a number of tables in the room, all holding nests of Woklings.

"Today we talk about lust," he said. "Or rather, the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. "I don't think you'll actually make an Ewok, no, but droid babies have been done to death." He also thought that the students might need something that looked a little like giant teddy bears this week. He wouldn't say that though, for fear of tarnishing his reputation. These are sentient creatures from the forest moon of Endor." He then went on to explain what Ewoks eat (other than Han Solo), how much they slept (not much), and general care of the species. "If any of these are neglected or set on fire, the island will not be big enough for you to escape from me," he said darkly. He held up a pamphlet of Ewok to English translations. "The Woklings are young, but they do know some language. I've also made certain to get their names from the Chief this time. Please listen carefully as your names and then their names are called."

He glanced down at his notes. "Oh, I also realize that this is Prom weekend. If you are attending the dance, please arrange for babysitting."

"Does it even speak English?" Marco asked, a little hollowly.

"I don't know. But do we really want his - or her - first words to be 'hell' or 'fuck' or something just as bad?"

The Wokling looked up at Tony, blinking innocently. "Wub wub?"

"Well, apparently his/her first words are now 'wub wub'." Marco informed him. "And I only used hell." He poked gently at the creature. "I'm not good with anything small and living."

"Me either," Tony said. "Besides, I'm gay. There's no chance of me accidentally reproducing."

"In this school?" Marco said darkly. "Don't ever make assumptions." He sighed. "I'm pretty sure I have a date to prom."

Tony was just going to skip over that idea, thank you. "Guess we'll need a babysitter."

"I...can't think of a single person. Except my mom, but that would - actually not be that weird, she has experience both with small children and aliens. And aliens who are small children." Marco said out loud.

"Think she'd do it?" Tony asked.

"Oh definitely. Question is of how are we going to deliver it to her..." Marco was now seriously considering this.

"FedEx probably wouldn't work, huh?"

Marco sighed. "Probably not. I'm eight years in the past in an alternative Earth. Oh, and the thing needs to breath."

"That's why you punch holes in the box," Tony said. Okay, so he wouldn't really box up and mail a living creature. But what the hell was he supposed to do with it?

Marco was thinking something along those lines. "Think it needs its diaper changed too?"

"Ew. I'm not doing that," Tony said.

Marco gave him a look that summarized his opinion on the subject. "Think we can pay someone?"

"How much would it cost?" Tony asked. He wasn't planning to blow his savings on one assignment.

Marco flapped a hand. "I can convince my parents this is a necessary expense for my future college career or something." Marco had tried to blow his new savings. Two houses and three cars later, he realized this was a pointless endeavor.

Tony hesitated. On the one hand, he didn't like having anyone else pay his way. On the other hand... diapers. "Let's find out how much it'll be," he said.

Marco nodded. "Put up a poster in the dorms or something?"

"Sure," Tony said. Maybe he could trade something for his half of the babysitting fees.

"You good with bright markers?"

"I do all right with a Sharpie," Tony said.

"Awesome!" Marco said enthusiastically. "I'm sure someone around here is willing to babysit for money."
