When the Ethics students arrived, they'd notice a number of tables in the room, all holding nests of Woklings.

"Today we talk about lust," he said. "Or rather, the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. "I don't think you'll actually make an Ewok, no, but droid babies have been done to death." He also thought that the students might need something that looked a little like giant teddy bears this week. He wouldn't say that though, for fear of tarnishing his reputation. These are sentient creatures from the forest moon of Endor." He then went on to explain what Ewoks eat (other than Han Solo), how much they slept (not much), and general care of the species. "If any of these are neglected or set on fire, the island will not be big enough for you to escape from me," he said darkly. He held up a pamphlet of Ewok to English translations. "The Woklings are young, but they do know some language. I've also made certain to get their names from the Chief this time. Please listen carefully as your names and then their names are called."

He glanced down at his notes. "Oh, I also realize that this is Prom weekend. If you are attending the dance, please arrange for babysitting."

Triela eyed her Ewok.

She dearly hoped that her partner could take part of the "it's a living creature" bits while she focused on the "it's cute and cuddly" bits.

It's unlikely Van Helsing will have any more interest in 'taking care' of the thing that Triela will. As the look on his face may attest - something akin to a combination of annoyance and disgust - he is not looking forward to this assignment at all.

"As though the sack of flour baby wasn't enough," he mumbles and rubs his forehead.

"What is it with this place and fake baby assignments?" Triela complained.

He arches an eyebrow. "No idea. I do wish they would come up with something else, though. I have no use for..." he waves his hand at the furry thing, "...those."

"They're sort of cute," Triela admitted. "But they look like a lot of trouble."

"What are you supposed to do with it?"

"I don't know. Feed it?"

He frowns. "It didn't come with instructions?"

Triela looked around the cute little thing. "I don't see any."

"Don't suppose we can find someone to babysit it for the whole week, huh?"

"We could try," Triela said, sounding hopefuly for a moment.

He takes a glance around the room. "Who should we ask?"

"Um..." Triela shook her head. "I have no idea..."

He shrugs. "Guess we could give it back to the teacher. Tell him we don't want it?"

Triela shook her head. "I'm afraid that Mister Skywalker is not a very reasonable man. I don't think he'd listen."

"I'm aware." He sighs. "I suppose we'll have to work something out then?"

"Yeah," Triela sighed, "we will." She considered options. "Maybe I could get my roommate to help..."

He frowns at the creature. "Are we sure it's had all it's shots and it doesn't have rabies or something?" He is not interested in having anything to do with the critter at all.

"Not really, but I sort of doubt Mister Skywalker would give us something too dangerous..."

"We can only hope."

"So..." Triela eyed him. "You want to take it first?" She didn't think they'd been introduced, so there was a chance he wouldn't be able to find her later to turn the thing back over.

"I suppose," he responds with a great deal of trepidation. He doesn't want to take it at all, but for the sake of getting the hell out of this course, he will. "And I'll locate you where, in the middle of the week?"

So much for that plan.

"My room," she temporized, half-hoping he wouldn't ask where that was.

Too much time and effort put in being a pain in the ass for his previous group of instructors, he gathers as much information as possible. And he's been trained to track things down - he gets the details.

"And where is your room, Miss Triela?" He's quiet in class, but he pays a lot of attention and has put together names with people.
