Ethics [Tuesday, April 7, 2nd period]

When the Ethics students arrived, they'd notice a number of tables in the room, all holding nests of Woklings.

"Today we talk about lust," he said. "Or rather, the unintended consequences that can happen when you take action without precautions."

He smiled. "I don't think you'll actually make an Ewok, no, but droid babies have been done to death." He also thought that the students might need something that looked a little like giant teddy bears this week. He wouldn't say that though, for fear of tarnishing his reputation. These are sentient creatures from the forest moon of Endor." He then went on to explain what Ewoks eat (other than Han Solo), how much they slept (not much), and general care of the species. "If any of these are neglected or set on fire, the island will not be big enough for you to escape from me," he said darkly. He held up a pamphlet of Ewok to English translations. "The Woklings are young, but they do know some language. I've also made certain to get their names from the Chief this time. Please listen carefully as your names and then their names are called."

He glanced down at his notes. "Oh, I also realize that this is Prom weekend. If you are attending the dance, please arrange for babysitting."

Helen found the baby Ewok strangely endearing.

"He's fuzzy," Dor said lamely.

Yes. He's that brilliant.

"And sweet," Helen added, finding herself snuggling the Ewok with a bit of a sappy smile.

"I guess," Dor said scratching his head. "Do you want to work out a schedule?"

"Sure," Helen said. "What works for you?"

"My schedule is pretty open this week," Dor admitted. "I work during the day on Friday but that's pretty much it."

"I have one class tomorrow and I work on Thursday, but I can bring him with me," Helen said. "He'd probably like the horses."

"I can take him through Friday," Dor offered. "And you can have him Saturday. Would that work?"

Helen nodded. "That would be fine with me. But... are you going to the dance Friday night?"

Dor shrugged. "I'm not that into dancing and besides my mun is doing news that night and the less characters he has there the better so it's really no big deal."

Helen nodded. "Yeah and my mun has opening night that night so who know when she'll be home. Well, I doubt I'll be there myself, so if something changes, just let me know."

"Great!" Dor said cheerfully. "I'll see you on Saturday then."

Helen reluctantly handed over the Ewok. "All right," she said. "But if you decide you need help..."

"You'll be the first to know," Dor assured her.

She sighed and nodded as she watched him with Lumat. "Okay."
