Library [04/01]

Sam woke up late enough that he decided to not bother getting coffee, and went straight to the library instead. It wasn't that big of a deal, all things considered, but he was still annoyed that he wouldn't be able to get out to the town until later.

Sam checked to see if anyone had any overdue books, and looked to see if there were any more books that Dr. Jones might have to return to Special Collections at some point.

Sam went through his e-mail, and groaned at all of the bad jokes people were sending out today.

Sam took a slow sweep through the library, to see if anything needed obvious cleaning.

Sam had brownies to share for lunch today, if Dean had forgiven him enough to come by.

Dean came in with his usual lunch for them both and a huge smile on his face. "So I thought you should be the first to know. Chuck's going to move into my room. We've decided to give this thing a go."

Sam looked at Dean with something close to horror. "What?! What the hell are you talking about?"

"We just can't fight the attraction any more," Dean said easily.

"Attraction?" Sam asked, sounding incredulous. "Dean, he hates us. He hates our family. He's worse than Alec ever was to me! What's wrong with you?"

Dean's lips twitched as he couldn't keep it up any longer. "Gotcha!"

Sam glared at Dean and grabbed a piece of paper, crumpled it up, and threw it at him. "You're not even remotely funny."

Dean laughed and dodged the paper. "No, the funny part was you flailing."

"Of course I flailed! You can't say something like that and expect me to stay calm."

"That's why it was the perfect April Fool's," Dean said. "Hey is that brownies?"

Sam headed into the stacks to work on some book organization, and tried to stay aware enough to hear if the door opened.

Peter came in and looked around.

Sam heard something that sounded like the door opening, and from behind one of the shelves he called, "Hello?"

"It's me," Peter called back.

"Hey," Sam said, coming out with a small handful of books. "How's it going?"

"Not bad," Peter said. "You? Need a hand with those?"

"Nah, I'm just going to put them here," Sam said, setting the books down at the end of the desk. "If you're thinking about pranking me, you should know that Dean already did it so I know what day it is."
