Movie Appreciation: Week 11, Period 3 (Fri. 3/27)

Ronon stood at the podium, right in front of the center of the movie screen, awaiting the class to arrive. "So the internet says documentary films are made to capture reality on film. Other stuff says that the act of filming changes the reality. What you guys are gonna do is easy. Before we watch our movie, you're each gonna come up here and tell us some part of your life that would make a good documentary. Embellish it, whatever," Ronon shrugged, he really didn't care if they blatantly lied so long as they said something. He pointed to someone at random as he stepped away from the podium, "You, go first."

When everyone had finished their chance at talking, Ronon got back up in front of the group. "Okay, now that we've gotten some ideas of...weird stuff that could be a Fandom documentary, we're gonna watch meta for March of the Penguins and see if we can't get some of you to cry." He was teasing, but there were still tissue boxes at the ready.

"My family is one of the more important ones in my home town," Romeo shared. "We've been on television" -- mostly on the gossip shows, though of course Juliet and Tybalt's deaths were on the news for days -- "but I think just our history would be a tale of some interest."

It sounded like a bland and self-important answer, and to some extent it was. But any answer centered on his dead wife, which would be Romeo's other option, was too intimate for such a audience.
