Sex Ed, Monday [3-23] Third Period

Steve looked perfectly composed this week. Except for his left eyebrow, which was half-singed off. "I'm sorry I couldn't be here last week, but I had an emergency to tend to. I hope Mr. Stark did all right and didn't traumatize anyone too much. I'd have found you a qualified teacher, but I was in a hurry and I figured he was the next best thing," Steve said wryly. "So, this week we're going to talk about sexual harassment. It's bad, don't do it." Steve passed around a handout. "This fact sheet discusses what is sexual harassment and what is not. Basically, if an action is unwelcome, it's sexual harassment. So, ask yourself, "Is this person acting like they want me to knock it off?" and if they are, apologize and leave them alone." Then he smiled. "That's it for this week. You have the rest of the period free. You can ask me any questions you may have, or just go take a nap or whatever it is teenagers do in their free time."

"Hey, Mr. Rogers?" Jamie said approaching Steve with his best innocent expression. "What about the homework assignment Mr. Stark asked us to hand in this week?"

"He had us do essays on the class topics and said to turn them into you," Jamie said holding up a... very thick essay.

"Fetishes," Jamie said cheerfully. "We had to choose our own to research. For your sake I chose people who had shield fetishes."

"Well, you know Tony," Jamie replied. "I'm sure he would have wanted us to do a lot of research on the subject. Now, do I go to you to get reimbursed for the websites I had to get information from? I have about twenty days left on the five sites. I'll give you the login id's and passwords if you want to verify my research."

"Gotcha," Jamie said plopping the essay down on the table with a thunk. "Have fun reading it."

Jamie wasn't going to tell him the special section in his report that was dedicated not only to Shield fetishes but Captain America in particular.

Poor Steve. Jamie was very thorough.

Alice approached, hesitantly, and nodded to Mr. Rogers. "Might I ask a question?" she said.

"It's a bit of a personal inquiry," she said, flushing slightly. "There's something concerning a friend, and I thought you might be capable of offering assistance."

Well. Leto was a friend, so it was concerning a friend, if one glanced at it sideways.

It was a shame Alice didn't know that 'I have a friend' was perhaps the most transparent phrase for asking such questions.

"It concerns ... class matters," she said, trying to seem unconcerned. Her friend's problem, after all. "Which are terribly helpful and informative, on what precautions are necessary for personal interactions. But only if one is mindful enough to use them, and it seems these two weren't."

"Indeed," she said primly. "I've been assured the other concerns pose no danger, in this particular circumstance. But I've no idea how concerned my friend should be, in that regard."

"I think I'm following," she said calmly. "The clinic may be less difficult than Turtle and Canary, as many of the employees there are students, and that may be somewhat awkward, in her position. Have you any idea ... that is to say: if one was waiting, would the odds be against her?"

"Quite," she said. "It's all a matter of perspective, after all."

She gave him a faint smile and bowed her head, solemnly. "I thank you for the information."
