Newspaper Crew Meeting: 16:00 FHS

After classes was out, Jake sighed deeply and went to the Journalism room to join Chloe and the rest in harshing out what would be in next week's issue.

Chloe's already in the classroom when Jake comes in, and she gives him a wide smile in greeting. "Hey! Are you all right?" she asks, noting a bit of a lack of enthusiasm.

"Meh," Jake said, sliding down in a seat across from her. "No, but I'm working on it. So what are we doing today, boss?"

"Same thing we do every day - try to take over the world. Or, you know, just the school." Chloe laughs.

After class, Beka heads back to the Journalism classroom for the newspaper meeting, smiling. Bobby would totally mock her for looking forward to it.

She strolls in, pulls out the laptop which seems so antiquated compared to her tech but she's found it useful, and sets it on a desk. "Hey Chloe, hey Jake." Incling her head, she asks, "Is there coffee?"

"There is ALWAYS coffee," Jake told her solemnly.

"My kind of meeting." Beka promptly went and poured herself a large mug, then came back to perch on a desk with her feet on the chair. "So, what's on the agenda?"

Phoebe dragged herself into the newspaper meeting after class. She sat on one of the tables and smiled at the other three.

"What's on the agenda?"

Rory strides into the meeting after class, and helps herself to some coffee. She plops down in a chair, quietly surveying the others.

"Well hello there, Miss Student Relations," Chloe says, grinning at Rory. "Congratulations, by the way."

"Thanks," Rory says, beaming. "What're we working on?"

Beka waves. "Hey, Rory. Have a good time last night?"

Rory nods. "It was fun, especially since I abstained from drinking and, as a result, still have my dignity intact."

Barbossa swaggered into the Journalism room. "Good day t'ye fine people," he said before slouching into a chair. "Be thar coffee?"

Jake stopped looking pointedly at Beka long enough to nod to Barbossa -- the roomie Krycek hadn't kissed. "Yeah, there is always coffee. Help yourself."

Beka studies Barbarossa, then shrugs. "Hey yourself. Bygones be bygones and all that?"

Barbossa looked puzzled. "O'course. I be not rememberin' stories from broadcast t'broadcast. If I be rememberin' all of it, I be havin' no room t'remember me studies." He smiled at Beka. "No hard feelings?"

After class, D'anna hung around and wound her way over to the newspaper section. Taking a refill on her coffee she nodded to Jake, Chloe, Phoebe, Beka, and Rory, then settled in to listen and see if there would be a need for her services this week.

Beka nodded to D'Anna. "I think we're plotting mischief more than stories. But c'mon over and join the conversation if you're inclined."

Veronica enters the meeting and waves at her roommate.
