Management Theory [Tuesday, March 3, 4th period]

Today, when the students arrived, they would find Yzma wearing the same charming goggles and lab coat ensemble as the rest of them.

"Sometimes," she began, "traditional means of getting your point across to the clearly inferior--talking, yelling, kicking them with pointy shoes--simply do not work! Sometimes they will not let you win at shuffleboard and make fun of your hair!" She coughed. "Not that that has happened to me. Sometimes you have no choice but to resort to...CHEMISTRY!"

She cackled madly as thunder pealed and a cabinet full of pink vials opened up behind her.

"It is difficult to win at shuffleboard when you don't have opposable thumbs!" she giggled to herself.

"Pair up, and make sure you each take a vial. One person drinks the vial--or drops it on the floor, it doesn't really matter--and the other person observes what happens! Then switch!"

Somehow she didn't think the second person would be all that anxious to drink the potions after they observed what happened.

"All effects--if there are any--will wear off before class is over! And no taking potions out of the class with you."

And this was a totally effective management technique where she came from. Yzma's country was odd.

Jenny kind of enjoyed electrocuting a marine predator once a week. It kept her on her toes.

This week's crocodile never knew what hit it.

Arthur pulled the wrong lever. Technically, at least, it was to be called the wrong lever.

However, when he finally managed to kill the creature and wrestled his way up, a few minutes after class had ended, he was thoroughly pleased with his choice in levers.

Even if he was dripping wet. Killing something kind of killed one's inclination to long for killing something.

Chuck was used to pulling the right lever by now. He didn't know how everyone kept screwing it up...

...Unless they wanted to fight something.

Weirdos.

Mac got right lever. Thank god. She really wasn't in the mood to be getting wet and wrestling sea creatures.

Let's face it, she was never in that kind of mood.

Fortunately Meg pulled the right lever. It meant she didn't need to use the tennis racket she'd brought along as a bludgeon.

Romeo pulled the right level, which was a blessing. In his mood he likely would have let the sea creature eat him.

Today she pulled the right lever, not really feeling like a fight with an animal.

If he had to be back in classes, Toby was glad this was the first one he had to come back to. He pulled the right lever happily and ended up contently smoothing the lines on his lab coat.

A wet, dripping, cranky looking Turtle emerged looking incredibly cross that statistics proved against her this time.

She didn't even know if that thing had shins, but whatever she did kick seemed to get it pretty good all the same.

When Agnes arrived in the classroom, she was wet. And UNDERNEATH her blue rubber beanie was the struggling outline of a small octopus. Don't ask.
