Dana was nice today. She set out coffee for the students, figuring those who had to wake up for a second period class on the Monday after spring break might need a little jump-start, so this way they didn't fall asleep and she didn't have to drop a book on the desk near their head or something. That would be just embarrassing for all involved.

"Welcome back, everyone. It sounds like you all had a very interesting week, and hopefully everyone at the very least has sobered up by now," she began, "especially since I'm going easy on you. Let's face it, most of you are only going to be half-paying attention to me today anyway. So I'm breaking from the syllabus and instead giving you all a project due next week. Today we're going to be looking at some of the camera equipment that gets used.

"I have one here that you can check out and try out," she said, patting a camera affixed to a tripod. "You break it, you buy it, and you may have to get down and give me 20. Also, we have smaller, hand-held cameras that you're going to take with you for the week. Find and record some interesting footage for next week's class. When we work on editing, that's what we're going to use to splice things together. Get some action footage, interview someone, just bring me something. It doesn't need to be sports-related, either, so though if you bring me something that we can put in our broadcast, that's a bonus. The only rules are: don't use these in class without explicit permission as I don't want the other teachers to hate me, and do not- do not- use these for anything I'd have to take to the principal. There's a reason you got these after spring break."

"What sort of work did you do?" he asked. "I can't make sense of anyone finding work to do in a paradise like that."

"Oh, you know...I tried to just make sure everyone was having fun and not in any trouble." Adora had never wished harder for an interruption or a LOOK, SOMETHING SHINY before in her life.

"Of course, then I met the hot tub and it was hard to keep me away from it."

"The hot tub!" Hannibal said, grinning. "I think I met you in there once."

"Did you? I don't remember. There were ever so many shirtless boys around," Adora replied with a little smile.

"Someone was noticing the scenery," he said, amused. "And I did. Because you said I had magic hands."

He had her there. "Was that you?" Adora pretended to try to remember. "Oh right, the hot tub!"

"Yeah, I don't believe you don't remember," he said. "I had to make the one time I saw you memorable and I think I did."

"Yes, I doubt I need to tell you how good you are at making things memorable," Adora told him.

He smiled and then shook his head. "Just glad you had fun and all. You did have fun when you weren't trying to work, right?"

"Oh, I am fairly sure I had fun even when I was trying to work, thank you," Adora grinned. "Did you manage to enjoy yourself?"

"Had a blast," Hannibal said, grinning wider. "Even when I was just lying around and being lazy, it was more fun than doing that here."

"While normally I am not a fan of doing nothing, that was the perfect place to take advantage of lying around and being lazy," Adora admitted with a sigh. "If only there had been fewer people at points, I would have called it paradise."

"Fewer people?" Hannibal asked. "Something happen?"

She wished she could stop the delighted smile from taking over her face. "Um, no. Nothing happened!"

"Something happened," he said, matching her smile. "Tell me!"

"I had a good time, that's all!" Adora promised, going a little pink. "Better times simply require less audience."

That wasn't hard to decipher. At all. "Who'd you have a good time with?"

"I do not kiss and tell," she shook her head. "Or not kiss and tell, for that matter."

"You kissed someone!" he decided, laughing. "I can see right through you."]

He couldn't. He was guessing.

"I have kissed many people," Adora informed him. "Just not you."

That was not supposed to come out like that, no.

"...right, thanks for that," he said, frowning. "I wasn't asking if you'd kissed me."

"Of course you weren't! You would know," she said, only facepalming a little. "I said so just for tracking's sake."

Right, because you are a kissing whore Adora.

"You track your kisses?" Hannibal asked, confused. "Seriously?"

"No? That would be crazy?" Adora was feeling crazy. "So, what are you going to film this week?"

"I think you're lying but okay," he said. "You haven't kissed me. You can mark that on your tracking calendar. And I don't know."

Hannibal was wondering if yesterday was just going to shape his entire week.
