For Movie Appreciation, the Danger Shop was transformed into the usual auditorium with a strange new twist. There was a giant pool of icy water off to the side with floating slabs of driftwood strewn about.

Ronon sat on the edge of the stage, waiting for students to take their seats before introducing the day's movie. "I'm told for people from the right time, Titanic is a classic romance. I watched it, and I gotta tell you, if that's romance, Earth is screwed." For serious. "So this guy falls for some girl and shows her how to live or something. Then the boat they're on gets hit by a block of ice and sinks. Now, I know, spoilers or something are bad? Whatever, if I tell you everyone ends up in icy water like that," he pointed to the tank, "you tell me how many people live or die."

"Right, so let's ~~suffer through Celine~~ watch some parts of it and get a feel for this movie before you guys stick yourselves in the water and decide if the chick could've made some space for that guy on her plank. Still think it's true love and romance?" He flicked a switch on the remote and started up the clips.

"It's cold water and I don't look good frozen, or with a blue face," Romeo supplied. "Perhaps we could find a piece of wood large enough for both of us?"

"And maybe get onto it without getting wet?" she said hopefully. "I could work with that."

"We can try not to get wet," Romeo said doubtfully. "We had to get on rafts in Heroing Wednesday. It's hard to stay dry."

Angela sighed resigning herself to that, and shrugged off her sweater. "If I get pneumonia, I will not be impressed," she said. "This was supposed to be one of those nice easy classes."

Romeo shucked his jacket and his shoes. "I know," he said. "I planned this semester so I wouldn't challenge myself too much before graduation. I didn't know we might turn into icicles."

He gingerly leaned over the water, trying to snag a piece of driftwood with one finger.

"Let's really hope that isn't actually what happens," Angela said, slipping her own shoes off and kneeling to help him snag one of the rafts.

"This week has been weird enough already."

Romeo held the raft steady. "You should get on first, since you're lighter," he told her. He had no idea if that made sense, but it was ladies first and thus mannerly, and he certainly didn't want to risk it first.

"I was spared the worst of it, but it doesn't seem like it's been easy on anyone."

"It could've gone a lot worse for me too," Angela said. "Still not a fan, though."

She didn't particularly want to go first, but Romeo had presented logic, of some variety. After a moment more looking at the piece of wood skeptically, she hesitantly tried to crawl on.

Not as easy as you'd think, since things like that will tend to sink the moment you put weight on them.

"Cold, that's definitely cold," she said as she water soaked into her jeans.

"I think what other people said was worse for me than what I said, Tuesday," Romeo commented thoughtfully. "I don't have many secrets."

None that had come up on Tuesday, anyhow.

He watched her clamber onto the wood before hesitantly trying to follow, putting his arms on first and trying to swing his body over. "It looks it. I don't know if it'll hold my weight as well, but I can try."

Angela shifted to one side as much as she dared without making the whole thing tip over and dump her straight into the water.

"I think the same was true for me," she admitted. "Nothing really bad came out, at least."

Romeo nodded, but his focus was more on getting onto the wood than on answering her.

He managed it, though there was little room for either of them to move once he was aboard and his pants were soaking up water like sponges. "How long to you think we must stay on before we can say we've done this?"

"The moment my feet start getting numb, I'm getting off whether we're done or not," Angela replied with a little huff of a laugh.

"I think we've just proved that hot male lead could've survived if his girl had just made space, though."

"I think the actor likes dying in movies. Or else they thought no one wanted to see a happy love story," Romeo said wisely, as another splash soaked one leg to his thigh. "Can you get frostbite from water?"

"If you're in water where it's cold enough for icebergs, maybe?" Angela said after a moment. She was doing her best not to wriggle, here, sensing that would just get her colder and wetter. "I've never thought about it."

"And I for one, want to see a happy love story."

"It's not something I want to find out for an A," Romeo commented, as he gingerly paddled back toward the edge of the pool.

He smiled. "You're a romantic."

Angela shrugged, before dipping her hand into the water to help get them back.

"What can I say, I'm a girl who likes a happy ending," she said.
