"HELLO CLASS!" boomed Captain Hammer, as soon as everyone was assembled in the Danger Shop. "I'm sorry you had to bear on without my presence last week. I had a superhero emergency." In that his cave had flooded, because Captain Hammer had not yet realized that basing his Ham-Lair on the beach wasn't the best idea. "Today... we are learning about the wonders of transportation!"

He passed around a few pictures of his various Ham-vehicles, mostly to show off. They were awesome, after all. "Every hero needs a way to get around. You can't run everywhere. What if you were busy entertaining until the last second, and needed to get somewhere extra-fast? These things," he said sagely, "do happen. So, today, we're going to play pretend!"

Hammer pressed a few buttons, and a small assortment of vehicles -- all state of the art -- appeared, each reasonably far apart from the other, with a small portion of vehicle-appropriate landscape before it. "I put you in pairs, and you're going to go play with one of these, and then report back to the class what you thought. I know both villains and heroes who all use these things! Keep that in mind! Tell us why it worked, and why it didn't. Now, shoo."

"Hold still and I'll do them up," he said, reaching for the straps and securing them tightly.

"Thanks," she said, steeling herself for the task. "So, I just push this button here and I'm off." She'd need to actually push it and not just look at it.

"And you're off," he repeated, nodding. "You'll be fine!"

He hoped he sounded confident.

Adora laughed, "I'm going to crash on your head and then you won't call it fine!"

But she pushed the button and she was flying! Without a horse! It was very awesome if sort of loud.

"It's working!" Hannibal said, looking up and clapping. "You're doing it!"

"I am!" Adora replied, amazed by her progress.

"You're going to love this, Hannibal," she called out and suddenly realized. "How do I get down?"

"Uh." Hannibal looked around. "Is there like a button that says brake?"

"No!" Adora called out, muttering to herself, "Oh, what would She-Ra do?"

It was at that moment that the solution came to her. "If pressing this button means up, than letting it go must be down!" And it did, allowing her to lower to the floor.

"That wasn't so hard," he said, almost amused at her talking. "Was it fun?"

"Amazingly so," Adora assured him. "Though, if you're not a fan of heights this is not the heroic ride for you."

"Heights don't bother me," he replied, shaking his head. "Easy as pie!"

"Sure you're not nervous?" Adora asked. "I promise I'll catch you if you fall."

"I don't get nervous but that's very kind of you to offer," he said. "Don't drop me on my ass."

Adora blushed, shrugging off the jet pack. "I'll make certain your ass never hits the ground."

"I trust you," he said, moving to heft the jet pack onto his shoulders. It was a lot heavier than it looked.

"Good. Need help with the snaps?" She was cheery and useful.

"Please," he said, dropping his arms to let her help.

She hooked everything together and patted the buckles for good measure. "I think you're all set to fly. Don't forget how to come down, it's tricky."

"I'll be careful," he said and hit the button so he could streak into the air with a whoop of delight.

Adora couldn't suppress the urge to jump up and down, clapping for him even as she muttered hopes that he would land safely.

Hannibal took his time, flying lazily around and enjoying be able to fly without being in a plane.

"This is great!"

She didn't understand how he could stand just being up there without a purpose. Or a pegasus. "You're a natural!"

He pushed the button he'd seen her push and slowly floated back down to the ground, grinning widely when his feet touched.

"I'm almost disappointed you didn't fall," she teased.

"Well, I couldn't very well let you see me in distress now could I?" Hannibal asked.
