Yzma, as always, was ready to pace before the class as soon as they all arrived properly attired.

"One of the most important ways to prove your management potential," she overenunciated, "is by planning and correctly pulling off a party!"

She threw her hands into the air. On cue, confetti fell from the sky. She nodded her head. "Today, you will pair up and plan proper party!" She held out a hand. A party hat materialized out of nowhere. "In this hat, there are many suitable party themes. You must come up with the food you will serve, the attire your guests must wear, and most importantly, how to stop losers from attending!" She gazed around at the students. "You have fifteen minutes!"

Nice and reasonable of her.

"The rest of the time you will be working the rope line," which magically appeared in the corner when she pointed to it, full of people who all looked suspiciously like an emperor she used to work for, "explaining to the losers why they aren't on the list."

During a day when many students were compelled to tell the truth. This should be good.

Rikku snagged a slip of paper from the hat and bounced on her toes, waiting for a partner.

"Oi," Jenny said. "Reno's girlfriend. Rikku. Want to work with me?"

"Oooh, sounds like fun," Rikku bounced. "You took pictures of my boobs once, too. I haven't looked at the piece of paper yet. Let's!"

Okay, she hadn't meant to say all of that out loud, exactly. What was going on?

"I remember that, but I was trying to be polite by not bringing it up," Jenny said. "But then I usually fail at polite, so I don't know why I bothered. Do you want to look at it?"

"I blurt things out without meaning to and then blush a lot," Rikku explained, opening the slip of paper. "I'm not sure why I said that. Oooh, we got a byob. What's a byob?"

"Bring your own bottle," Jenny supplied. "Means we're cheap and don't want to shell out for the liquor. Excellent!"

"Ooooh, so we're gonna have drinking, and it'll be cheap," she grinned. "Okay. So we should go for a low-key sort of thing? Snacks, movies, people hanging around and talking? Goes with the 'cheap' theme."

"I like cheap," Jenny said. "And easy. That's not meant to be a comment on my sexual proclivities, but it could certainly be taken that way. We could order food."

"I wouldn't take it as one, because I'd think that was a mean thing to think," Rikku shared. "Although I have no problem with your promiscuity. Or anyone else's. I just hate feeling rude. Do you think maybe we should order pizzas? That's suitably low-key."

"I was thinking curry, but then I'm British. Pizza sounds good. Pizza and liquor, it's a party already!"

"Should we provide any liquor?" Rikku asked. "I know the theme is not providing it, but people might run out, and we'll need some for us. Unless our guests would bring enough to share."

"Yes, we should bring our own, I think," Jenny said. "If they run out it's their own fault. Unless they're particularly hot, then I might share to get them into bed."

"That sounds like an effective plan," Rikku nodded. "And if we bring our own, I can make sure to have some of the embarrassing girly-drinks I usually drink. I always feel like I should be ashamed of liking the fizzy drinks instead of harder stuff, but I don't like drinking things that taste nasty."
