Movie Appreciation: Week 4, Period 3 (Fri. 1/30)

Back in the Danger Shop for Movie Appreciation, Ronon leaned against the podium and collected last week's homework from anyone who had it when they came in. Once people seemed settled, he began the lecture, if you could call it that. "Today we're watching the comedic sporting movie, Blades of Triumph.

Pay attention, 'cause after the movie you're gonna do a write up to tell me how men and women dancing around on ice is a sport and whether or not the title fits the movie. If you think it does, I wanna know why. If you think it doesn't, make up a new title." Ronon thought this was easy enough, but he could be wrong. "You've only gotta stick around for the first hour, after that you're free to go or to stay and see the end. Since we've got a full feature, I brought popcorn." Shockingly, he brought enough to share. It was a mystery why the big guy was in such a good mood today.

"Oh, fun." Dinah grinned at that mental image, of a little Claudia paging through VOGUE. And making glittery paper dolls. She shot a glance at Mr. Dex and grinned. "This place has to be great for ideas, too. Maybe you can sell it based on your portfolio?"

Then again, Claudia wouldn't be wearing her ideas in a portfolio, so maybe her superpower wouldn't work...

"Maybe," Claudia said thoughtfully. "I don't like to repeat a look twice..."

"Hunh." Which made Dinah realize she never had seen Claudia in the same outfit twice. "You have to be putting a ton of work into all that. You should freeze it for posterity."

"Make my roommate take pictures," Claudia said with a grin. "Zayne'd love that."

No, probably not.

"You're his roommate? Awesome." Dinah grinned a little at that. "I owe him an apology. I thought he was crazy the first day I met him. Which, I don't know, maybe he is, I don't know him, but not for the reasons I thought, probably."

"I thought he was on drugs for weeks," Claudia said. "Honestly. Who says they're from a 'different galaxy'?"

"You'd think someone would have warned him that people wouldn't take that well," Dinah snickered. "A 'don't freak out the natives' talk, or something!"

"Yeah, I grew up in Connecticut. Something weird is living in, like, California."
