Sam wasn't about to let a little power outage keep him out of the library. After all, without television or other entertaining electronics, the odds of someone coming in to get a book was a lot higher. At least, that was Sam's hope.

The windows in the library gave him enough light to get by, but he still had flashlights at the desk. A little extra light by which to read was never a bad thing.

Sam kissed Peter back with a happy sound. "Mmmm, I feel warmer already," he murmured.

"We'll have to stay close," Peter said. "For us to keep warm."

"We should do that later too," Sam said. "I'm worried I might freeze if I'm all alone tonight. I'm warm, but not that warm."

"Absolutely," Peter said. "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I let you freeze?"

"A bad one," Sam said simply. "And that's not you at all."

"I am known for being one of the best boyfriends out there," Peter agreed.

"And so modest too," Sam said, laughing. "If the power comes back on before it gets dark, we might be okay."

"There's always candlelight," Peter pointed out.

"Candles will only help us see as we try to stay warm," Sam said. "Unless you're planning on burning yourself."

"There might be some stuff worth looking at while we're staying warm," Peter said.

"Really?" Sam said, feigning ignorance. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"I'll show you later, thanks to the candlelight," Peter replied.

Sam grinned, and gave Peter another kiss. "I think I like the sound of that. I promise, I'll keep you warm."

"Which is part of why you're an awesome boyfriend," Peter told him.

"Only for you," Sam said quietly. "You're worth the effort."

Really the only way Peter could reply to that was with a kiss.

"Thank you for coming here," Sam said, giving Peter a stronger, more grateful kiss. "You know, always."

"Not just because I'm warm?" Peter teased.

"The warmth is just a really nice bonus," Sam assured him.
