Claudia's wardrobe, always...creative...was getting even more so as important pieces (like all of her shirts) disappeared.

Today she was wearing a pink bustier under a white button-up cardigan sweater, black stirrup leggings and bright blue cowboy boots with flowers tooled into the sides of them. Her hair was pulled up into a complicated bun, dangly butterfly earrings hung from her ears, and her old friend the snake bracelet was around her left wrist. On anyone else it would look like a serious cry for laundry day. On Claudia, it looked great.

And she'd probably wear it again even if her shirts came back.

She was sitting down and flipping through Entertainment Weekly, offering unsolicited advice to the stars for their choices of dresses for the Golden Globes.

"Yeah, but I think this one was a king. Guess he managed to get his older brother out of the way," said Harper. "He wasn't as cute in the movie, though."

"The older brother?" Claudia asked, trying to pretend like she totally knew what was going on.

"Either that, or Prince William wasn't in that story," suggested Harper.

"Well, if it was the fifth sequel, he might've been written out by then," Claudia suggested wisely.

"Yikes, you mean it was a series?" said Harper. "Maybe I should catch up on all of the parts."

"You said you were looking for Harry V, right?" Claudia replied. "Makes sense that there'd be four other parts..."

"No one mentioned that at the try-outs last week," said Harper. "Oh well, I'm sure there's a study guide. And I'm just doing costumes. It's not like I have to memorize all the parts."

"Ohh, costumes!" Claudia said, standing up and setting out in a random direction, hoping she'd find the plays. "I did some for a version of ~~whatever the meta of~~ Peter Pan!"

"That sounds like it must have been fun," said Harper. "I've never done costumes before, but they seemed happy just to get someone who could sew."

"If you need a hand, let me know," Claudia said. "Oh, look, plays!" she said, sounding pleased with herself.

"Yay!" squealed. "I'll let you know if I need any help. First I have to figure out what Geoffrey's vision is and how badly it clashes with my vision."

"It's so difficult when people can't see what you see," Claudia agreed, going up on tiptoes to find all the Harry plays. "I can only see plays about Henrys," she said, frowning.

"Maybe it's the same thing in the Old English," suggested Harper.

"Oh, I should've thought of that!" Claudia said. "Okay, we don't have Henry One through Three, but we do have Henry the Fourth...parts one and two." She frowned. "That doesn't make any sense."

"Then it's probably the second part that I need," said Harper.

"We have five and then three parts of six...Wow," Claudia said. "This is getting as confusing as those horror movies that go on for, like, twenty seven parts."

"Hmmm, maybe I should ask Geoffrey or Tony which part they did last semester," said Harper. "They might have leftover costumes. Of course, I'll have to re-do all of them."

"Of course," Claudia agreed. "Styles are totally different in the spring anyway."

"Exactly!" said Harper. "Hey, does the library have fashion magazines? I should get a look at what's going to be hot in the spring so I can plan ahead."

"We do!" Claudia said, leading the way to that section.

It was the second thing she'd looked for when she came in. "Tons!"
