Claudia's wardrobe, always...creative...was getting even more so as important pieces (like all of her shirts) disappeared.

Today she was wearing a pink bustier under a white button-up cardigan sweater, black stirrup leggings and bright blue cowboy boots with flowers tooled into the sides of them. Her hair was pulled up into a complicated bun, dangly butterfly earrings hung from her ears, and her old friend the snake bracelet was around her left wrist. On anyone else it would look like a serious cry for laundry day. On Claudia, it looked great.

And she'd probably wear it again even if her shirts came back.

She was sitting down and flipping through Entertainment Weekly, offering unsolicited advice to the stars for their choices of dresses for the Golden Globes.

"Going on two years," he said. "I graduate in May. Dunno if I'm going back home or staying here yet."

Yes, he did. He'd made up his mind ages ago.

"What would you do at home?" she asked, clearly teasing. "Fly spaceships?"

"Uh, yeah actually," he said. "I'd probably join Caprica's military, fly Vipers and stuff in space."

"You fly snakes?"

"What?" Snakes? "No, I fly Vipers."

"Vipers aren't snakes?" Claudia asked, confused.

"Well, they are," Lee said, nodding, "but they're also a type of ship where I'm from. We've got Vipers and Raptors."

"I heard about a guy who flew around on a broom," she said, blushing. "I figured it couldn't hurt to check."

"Yeah, no snakes, no brooms," he said. "I don't think you could even stay on a snake. Aren't they slippery?"

"Like I've ever tried to ride one," Claudia replied, giggling.

"Well, word of advice," Lee said helpfully, "don't try and ride gremlins."

Not that he'd ever tried.

"That hadn't been on my list of things to do," Claudia said wide-eyed. "At all."

"You'll be all right," Lee said, picking up his bag. "If things start making noise in Special Collections, just ignore that too."

"I will," Claudia promised. "Thanks, Lee."

"See you later," he said, waving as he headed out.

And hoped Special Collections didn't eat that girl.
