BWI Airport, Portalocity Port, Saturday Morning

Spirit's ride to the island had been settled and Adora was trying very hard not to be nervous while she waited for the Fandom transport to arrive. Looking out the airport window, Adora realized she'd never seen so many fleets of vehicles in all her life that weren't involved in some sort of insurrection, and found herself desperately hoping her mother was right about this Earth place being safe from the Horde.

Just the thought of her family calmed Adora and she instinctively reached to touch the Sword of Protection where it was hidden by her hair and clothing, feeling that no matter where she was, she always had a way to contact the people she loved.

Now if only she knew for sure that this room marked "Fandom High" was really where she needed to be. Adora paced the large space as she waited, thinking she couldn't possibly be the only new student journeying to campus in this manner.

Priestly was making a circuit of the area and paused near Dinah. "If you're looking for the Fandom shuttle, you're in the right place."

"OhthankGod," Dinah mumbled in relief, then looked up with a big smile. Which tilted sideways, then widened at his outfit. "So, I'm thinking this isn't much like a military academy?"

"Good god, I hope not. I'm not shaving this goatee for nobody."

Dinah laughed and held out one hand. "I'm pretty sure it's not. Helena wouldn't have let me go somewhere that they'd make me put my hair in a bun. I'm Dinah."

"Priestly." It had worked on Claudia, so Priestly went for the gentlemanly hand-kiss again. "Nice to meet you."

"Wow. Hi!" Any thoughts Dinah might have picked up were buried in a mental squee! "It's nice to meet you! I mean. You know. Nice." Shut uuuup, Dinah. "So, yeah, your parents, sent you here 'cause of...?"

Priestly pointed to his mohawk. "They didn't really approve of my new fashion choices."

"Seriously? That was it?" Dinah boggled for a moment, then remembering her foster parents, realized that that could totally be it. "And I was just wishing I had the guts to do something like that to my hair. Well, not the mohawk. But blue, maybe?"

Priestly nodded. "You'd look good in blue."

"Really?" Dinah beamed and reached up to fiddle with her ponytail. "You think so? It's wouldn't be too cliche'?" She grinned brighter. "It's a new school. I guess I could try it, hunh? No one to know how boring I usually am."

"That's the spirit. I've got lots of wash out color, if you wanna borrow some."

"Cooooool! Thanks." Dinah relaxed a bit more, and looked around, checking out the commuters and other travelers as well as their group, to keep from grinning any harder at Priestley. "So, this is more than a couple people. I guess it must be a pretty big school, if they've got so many new kids coming in at once. The brochure said more about 'beaches' and 'woods' and 'private' than anything about the classes."

"Hunh. I was worried it was going to be really ritzy," she admitted. "But I can go home if I hate it, at least. But I'm kind of hoping I don't have to hate it."

"Mystery Meat, all the way. You can investigate it, use it as a missile, possibly use it to discover a cure for cancer, hey, maybe even eat it, if you're feeling really adventurous."
