Ethics [Tuesday, December 16, 2nd period]

"Welcome to your Ethics final," Anakin said, pacing around the Danger Room. "I will provide you with a series of scenarios. Either pull up a seat, " --the simulation generously provided on--"and tell me which of the options you would pick, or choose to try the simulation as a live demonstration and see what kind of consequences your actions would have."

He pressed his lips together. "Try not to die if at all possible."

He consulted the notes in his hand. "Oh, before I forget. If any of you are interested in a service project during the break, I've been in contact with the chief of the Ewok village where the Woklings came from. They are still recovering from a major battle that happened above and on their moon a few years ago and would be very grateful for anyone who would like to go build tree houses for a few days. See me after class for more information."

That surprised a laugh out of Tahiri. "I wasn't planning on anything like that!"

"Or smack Luke for events that haven't happened yet, as tempting as it might be," he added.

". . . or that," Tahiri added quickly. Wow, and she'd only been entertaining that notion, however vaguely, for a fraction of a second. "But it'll be weird to see him that young."

"Tell me the hair gets better," Anakin said, a smile playing across his lips.

The corner of Tahiri's mouth twitched. "Maybe a little," she allowed.

"That is very reassuring," Anakin replied, smiling more widely.

"We can't all have your hair, sir," Tahiri remarked and stopped short, her eyes going wide with embarrassment.

Anakin continued smiling. "This is true. Not enough people notice it."

There were very few people who could get away with teasing him. He'd decided Tahiri was one of them.

"Oh, Force," Tahiri managed. "I didn't mean to -- I mean, I'm sorry!"

She was on the verge of mentally blaming Toby when the fact somehow got through her mortification that he was smiling, and she decided that it was a good idea to just stop babbling there.

And then promptly fled.
