Ethics [Tuesday, December 16, 2nd period]

"Welcome to your Ethics final," Anakin said, pacing around the Danger Room. "I will provide you with a series of scenarios. Either pull up a seat, " --the simulation generously provided on--"and tell me which of the options you would pick, or choose to try the simulation as a live demonstration and see what kind of consequences your actions would have."

He pressed his lips together. "Try not to die if at all possible."

He consulted the notes in his hand. "Oh, before I forget. If any of you are interested in a service project during the break, I've been in contact with the chief of the Ewok village where the Woklings came from. They are still recovering from a major battle that happened above and on their moon a few years ago and would be very grateful for anyone who would like to go build tree houses for a few days. See me after class for more information."

Scenario #1

You arrive home after an extended period away to discover your mother has been kidnapped. She's presumed dead. What do you do?

a) Mourn and move on.
b) Brood about it constantly. Perhaps write poetry.
c) Ignore the idea that she might be dead and go after her yourself. Upon finding her remains, torch the village she was in.

Scenario #2

You find out that your wife is pregnant, yay! But you also learn that she will die in childbirth. Less yay. What now?

You're sitting in a huge room next to a slightly creepy man who is telling you that there are ways that you haven't been taught to cheat death. Your move now. What do you say?

Scenario #3

Curse those rebels and their stubbornness. You've captured one of their leaders but she won't tell you where their secret base is. Conveniently enough, you're in a mobile superweapon that can destroy planets. The options are fairly open...

Yep, the woman's slightly irritating voice is back. Do you:

a) Call it a day. We'll capture another rebel some time. Maybe they'll tell us.
b) Drag her out onto the command deck and threaten to blow up her planet.

Scenario #4

There is a dangerous vampire loose on the island. He should probably be stopped. Problem is, you don't know where he is, or how to fight vampires.
