Leadership: Thursday, Period 1, Class 1. (9/4/08)

"Morning everyone," Nathan said. He took a spot at the head of the class. He was, as near darned always, dressed in a suit. "I'm Mr. Petrelli. For anyone here who might be close with my brother Peter, I'm still Mr. Petrelli."

Nathan handed out the syllabus and class rules. "Here's the overview of the class for the semester. Make sure to read it as OOC rules are in there too. Because I'm a lawyer there is the fine print of classes being subject to change at any time.

"Today's class is going to be very easy though. First, I want everyone to introduce themselves with their name and why they're taking the class. Second?"

Nathan sat down behind his desk, looking for all the world like he was done for the day. "Someone needs to be in charge of this class. Let me know if you figure out who that is.

"And Meg? Come see me after class. Thanks."

[ooc: OCD is up! Be sure to read the OOC note as well as the class rules. Thanks!]

"Then something would have to be done to change things," Meg answered. "Either as individuals or collectively someone would need to speak to the principal. Ideally someone in the class would step forward and organize things so that we were all speaking the same unified message. It would have more power that way."

"I don't know," she admitted. "I don't know everyone here well enough to point a finger and say that they'd be likely to take charge. But it would have to be someone that was willing to take risks. Because they'd be the first ones in the line of fire if you decided to be vindictive."

Meg nodded. "And responsible for herding the cats to get them all to agree on a course of action."

"Then you have to think about if it's really the right course of action," Meg stated. "Maybe there are flaws that you're blind to because you're emotionally invested in the idea."

"I supposed I'd have to make a counter argument for my point of view. Persuasively enough that I'd be the one people would listen to."

So much for keeping a low profile.
