[Takes Place The Night Before] Calling His Bluff
Even though what good judgment she sometimes possessed was screaming at her not to do this, Phoebe was on her way to meet Belthazor. He claimed that he could take her to Paris and she was wondering what would happen when he couldn't fulfill his promise.
She shook her head, laughing at herself that she was actually going to meet the boy who could weave such wonderfully pretty lies...but he was drop dead gorgeous so she'd forgive him when he couldn't take the two of them to Paris.
She brushed a strand of hair back behind her ear and sat down on one of the benches where she had agreed to meet up with him.

"No, not afraid of heights...and even if I was...I know fort a fact you wouldn't let any harm come to me."
She eyed him and smiled. "I also know that if I got it into my head to do something incredibly foolish and deadly...you would stop me." She leaned against the railing and looked him in the face.
"Do you want to know why I'm so sure of that?"

Crossing his arms across his chest, he cocked his head and said, "Why are you so sure about that?"
no subject
"Because you want to sleep with me."

She moved away from the railing and turned to look out across Paris. "If you're going to end up being my foolish and deadly thing...well, what a way to go."

"Fire can both destroy and incite, Belthazor. Getting burned can be both pleasure and pain."

Instead he nuzzled her neck. "Mmm hmm...now about that pleasure part...."

She moved her hands down to grip his arms and nodded.
"Yes, the warmth of the fire can cause such eroticism to blossom and burn over."

"Not a poet...just love the dance of the flames." She tilted her head back. "I just feel that life is too short not to reach out and enjoy yourself."
